  1. Any idea what they are planning to show instead? They still have Live Speedway on the programmer and still on their website.
  2. Apparently it has been announced at Cradley's talk in that Friday's meeting is off.
  3. Official Belle Vue site saying their Press and Practice Day on Monday 21st March has been cancelled. Must cast a doubt over Friday's meeting now. Wolfie
  4. Official Site saying Press and Practice Day has been cancelled. Wolfie
  5. What a Farce. New Stadium - Old Belle Vue shabby promotion. Just another nail in the coffin of British Speedway. How much longer do promotors expect fans to put up with their ineptness. The Belle Vue promotion really don't deserve anyone to turn up for any future meetings. Wolfie
  6. Can anyone tell me if there is car parking onsite at the new stadium?
  7. Once again we are being dictated to by other countries and are limited by their calls on riders. It's far too late to accommodate everyone. Poland ride Sundays and possibly Fridays now. Sweden ride Tuesdays and Thursdays. Denmark on Wednesdays. Fridays are affected by travel for qualifiers and the like. Saturdays by the GP's and qualifiers. It would be far better to go with the idea of a larger league with riders who can commit and want to ride over here rather than trying to fit in with riders who have showed they don't really want to be over here. A bigger league with more teams and more variety but maybe at a,lower level seems the more sensible route. The majority of fans already pick and choose their meetings, and there has been a lot of discussion amongst Wolves fans about the once a fortnight EL meetings at Monmore this year. Putting the whole league on such a footing just night be the final straw for many fans. Wolfie
  8. At least the away meetings seem quite well spaced out, but it does make quite depressing reading seeing so few fixtures on there. Wolfie
  9. If that is the case it is quite ironic that Iversen and maybe Porsing will be missing from King's Lynn in 2016. Wolfie
  10. I'm not quite sure what has happened to The Lynn track over the last few years. I am a regular visitor when Wolves are there. The track used to be one of the best in the country but the racing seems to have deteriorated the last few times I have been there. The shape seems pretty much as it always been so perhaps it is something to do with the material used or the fact that the bikes are bot as conducive to good racing as they used to be. Wolfie
  11. I haven't been that impressed with Kurtz on the few meetings I've seen him in but maybe he has more to offer than what I have seen. Having said that Poole look the team to beat again for 2016 and if he can get back to anywhere near his past form Holder should be the top rider in the league. Wolfie
  12. I read on Twitter that this week has the Wolves track review in the Speedway Comic - sorry Star - I don't buy it anymore as the content has declined in recent years and much of the news appears quicker on the net. Apparently the report talks about Thorsell being much improved in his away form and then shows his away average at something like 4.80. Wow that's some improvement. Just underlines how much he has stood still and why PK would have been a much better option. Wolfie
  13. Wasn't that when he was riding at number 1 to give Freddie a break? He was signed as a second string but because the rest of the team rode poorly he ended up being a heat leader - and by Peter Adams admission took one for the team by riding at number one to give Freddie a break from there. Wolfie
  14. I like the idea of Masters being in the team but having watched Thorssell away from home for the last 3 years I am less than impressed with his re signing. Despite him being young and keen I can't see Thorsell improving on his starting average, whereas I think PK would have been a bargain on his average as he has the potential to improve that. Teams who are successful usually have riders who have the ability to inprove their starting averages - its hard to see anyone in the riders named who is going to do that. Wolfie
  15. Has to be the last chance saloon for Thorssell - he needs to improve his away form. Masters is a decent prospect if he lives up to expectations. Personally I would have preferred PK to one of them as I think he still has the potential to score more points than either of them. Wolfie
  16. The job share scheme will just add to the general farce. The riders will not agree on a schedule as they will want to miss the same meetings. Peter Adams has mentioned this fact at a previous talk in so it is strange to hear him now being an advocate of the system. Wolfie
  17. ..... who rides like a second string at times Wolfie
  18. I wouldn't sign either of them - they have had enough chances. Another new face would be better. Wolfie Got to be the way forward, Wolfie
  19. I definitely agree with you there TNT Wolfie
  20. No one seems to know whether he is a heat leader or not, but if he isn't PK on 5.51 has to be a better option than either of these two, as much as I like the look of both riders mentioned. Wolfie
  21. I admire your sense of humour BWitcher Wolfie
  22. Who else realistically was there available to sign as a number one? If PK is not on the heat leader list his signing is a no brainer on a 5 and a half point average. Wolfie
