  1. Cant wait for this one, should be a cracker. it shouldnt be long until the teams are released i wouldnt have thought?
  2. Its fairly clear that Scotty and Bomber aint going to make it into the top 8 in this years GP series. So the question is Who if anyone do you think will be seeded through to the 2010 Gp series? Lets hope Bomber can do the buisness at Coventry in the challenge, If he fails to do so and we dont get any British riders seeded it will be a sad day watching the Gps without a British representative. I think Nicholls is clearly in his last year of Grand Prix racing and with him not being in the challenge either i think we can safely say after 2009 we wont see him on the world stage again. I think the Rob Lyon approach must be taken if there are to be any Brits seeded through to next years series, im sure given time and experience on the Gp circuit the likes of Eddie Kennett, Tai woffinden and even Lewis Bridger will make the grade in the next couple of years (I hope). Some may be of the opinion that if a rider doesnt make it to the GP off there own back then they shouldnt be there... I agree to a certain extent but i look forward to the day the likes of Holder and Ward hit the big time just hope we've got a Brit or two up to challenge them
  3. from what i seen Scott didnt want any fighting he just tryed to keep Emil away from him. And yes like i say on that occassion Scott was better then Emil who came last and scored 0 points in that particular race. And dont worry Snyper you will be used to disagreeing with people thats what you seem to do alot on here, But hey its your opinion it maybe different but its yours
  4. correct im not saying we're going to win the world cup or anything like that, but our lads will gain valuble experience which will certainly help the future of british riders, Good start to the team GB job from Mr.Lyon.
  5. Of course im going to be slightly biased being "British" and all but it was clear that scott Nicholls didnty want any trouble. After the race he put his hand up to tell Emil to "Leave it " then to defend himself pushed him away- after that Emil lost his temper and to me Scotty was trying to defend himself, fare enough he maybe shouldnt of reacted but it wasnt Scottys fault Also Scott Nicholls did nothing wrong during the race, the young Emil just got rode high and didnt like being beaten by the better rider on that occassion.
  6. Great team well done Rob Lyon someone with some guts as team manager! The past riders have rightly gone in with the new. Cant wait for the world cup now we have a team we know will improve in years to come.
  7. Doolan has no catching up to do, we are talking premier league racing. Im afraid Kev is higher then Ryan, not that it matters as Kev is the Welsh open Champion. Plain and simple. Again well done Kevin Doolan another workington rider doing us proud!
  8. As did every other team in that group when they met Glasgow
  9. Unfortunately our superb performance in the group stage counted for nothing in the Re-run of the semi final. other wise you never no what would of happened in the final>>>... Guess we cant win them all, But fair play to Birmingham they came strong in the end and were deserving winners.
  10. Rymel and Doolan round Tully 3rd bend superb stuff. most of the heats the racing was real close. It was my first time at the Oak tree and i think the track was brilliant id have no complaints with Somerset having the Pairs in 2010.
  11. Everyone has their favourite gp riders and are entitled to support them!
  12. Topaz i think Snyper is just a little upset that Doolan left fisher in the dust to take the win!
  13. But fisher ploughing through everyone from the inside gate was innocent? What about when Jordan Frampton came down? nothing to do with Kev, he was going for the cut back knowing Fish would push everyone wide im glad kev didnt go for the outside in that one or it could of been nasty.
  14. Dont be so daft, if youve ever been to a meeting at Workington when Stuart Wilson is the ref you will find that he normally makes calls against Worky!! Doolan rode excellent and was a deserved winner at Newport yet again-!!!!
  15. Agree- First time a gp didnt go his way and he seemed to strugggle mentally.
  16. Enjoyed Cardiff the track was the best yet id say! didnt seem to have any ruts and held up well. Jason Crump was superb and deserved winner on the night. Good to see Scott Nicholls having a better night and really done well with his heat win. Bomber was unlucky to be excluded in the semi -final id of really liked to have seen him in the final but never mind. The referee made some terrible calls and again it makes me think that anyone can be a ref . But a good night of speedway top atmosphere cant wait to see it on sky now!
  17. Well done to the Brummies on their Pairs win, they rode very well towards the end of the meeting. What a great show the Somerset promotion put on everything was top notch from: Pit access before the meet, the club house, the drink, viewing for the racing and last but certainly not least the track at Somerset was perfectly prepared and the racing was brilliant. The meeting was a credit to the sport im glad there was so many people there to see the top PL lads in action.Well done Somerset. Only downsides to the meeting were: Why start at 7:30 if the meeting cant be completed due to the curfew, and why all the messing about between heats? Also i didnt understand the swapping about of heat re-runs in the semi seems to jump back a heat -confused? Allowing time for Johno perhaps? All in all a great speedway meeting enjoyed it all, Workington were superb and again our lads done us proud and really went out to win it for us unfortunately it wasnt to be, But well done Adrian and Kev. Hope Shane Parker is ok and is ready for his trip to Workington with Glasgow, Have to mention Tom Brown who really mixed it considering the company he was in.
  18. Well done Kevin Doolan, again you done the Workington fans proud!! made the journey home that bit better!! As for Newport, the track preperation was 2nd rate no shale on it, and when we came in it looked like they hadnt even bother to water it!!! There was a massive blue groove on the track ive never seen a track prepared like it. It was a real shame as it had the making of a top meeting the big crowd the weather but to put on a top class meeting sadly seemed beyond them. Its not very nice to see so many fans leaving before then end of a meeting On a positive side the set-up at Newport is very nice, Airfence, and a nice clubhouse generally a tidy stadium. But again i must say get in there Kev Doolan the king of Newport!
  19. Very posh Many from Workington going Cardiff then? anyone? hopefully there will be a few to cheer on the lads at Somerset too!
  20. Thurday night the village hotel in Walsall, then the next 2 nights in the etap hotel in Newport.
  21. The whole experience from the build up on the day, the entertainment and of course the racing. This meeting is the show case event of our sport, a chance to see all the worlds stars in the same meeting all going for it, this meeting does alot for british speedway in my view and long may it continue! Cant wait
