  1. A few beers tonight, then the blue and white banners will be up at Kent tomorrow!
  2. After today’s announcement that the Leicester meeting is off the Comets supporters bus continues onto Kent ready to make some noise for our meeting tomorrow. Number 1 & British U21 Champion Connor Bailey is on the bus fuelled with a Burger King ready to rack up the points tomorrow! Looking forward to the meeting Give is a C!!!!
  3. Not the result we wanted but great to see plenty of travelling supporters getting behind our lads. Some positives from Luke Harrison who rode brilliant on the technical track and also Harry who looked a lot more on the pace. A big thanks to Lee Complin as our guest who gave it 110% in each race hope he’s not to badly hurt as that was a nasty one. Anyway onto the next away trips to Leicester and Kent let’s keep backing the lads!
  4. Was thinking this too, very harsh on Lee Complin but I guess it’s a brutal sport?! Obviously I’d rather have our own rider in the team but guess we will see? I’ve watched Speedway since 1999 and I’d never try and pretend I know the rules it’s impossible! According to a post on Edinburgh’s Facebook so far so good with the weather fingers are crossed
  5. Edinburgh 1. Max Clegg 2. Mark Parker 3. Ashton Boughen (G) 4. Alex Spooner R/RR/R - 5. Adam Roynon 6. Mickie Simpson 7. Dayle Wood Workington 1. Lee Complin (G) 2. Sam McGurk 3. Luke Harrison 4. Luke Crang R/RR - 5. Ace Pijper 6. Harry McGurk 7. Elliot Kelly Here we go again let’s hope the weather is kind and we can get on the road to support the lads. We need a lot more track time as a team especially on the road so today is a good a test as any. Missing our top man but Lee Complin is a rider you can rely on. Hoping for a safe one and a Comets win!
  6. Another tough meeting ahead for us, hopefully Luke Crang is able to take his place and Sam & Elliot aren’t feeling any effects from recent crashes. Should be very competitive but I’ll go 48-42 Comets win!
  7. Tigers v Comets Plenty of Comets fans looking to make the long trip so hopefully the weather is kind and we can get some revenge after our home defeat. A few of our lads have experience of this track so let’s see what we can do, should be a close one!
  8. Another enjoyable meeting today obviously not the score we wanted but plenty of good signs especially from Luke Harrison great stuff . Hope Elliot is ok that was a nasty one need him ok for the 18th away at Mildenhall Still very happy to see speedway back at Workington such a great set up too!
  9. Another meeting another win and another massive crowd for the Workington Comets, horrible crash for Kelsey Dugard hope he’s on the mend soon. Good to see Luke Harrison get some racing in at last looked good on the bike but probably struggling with race fitness which will come. Hopefully we have Crangy back soon after his fall at Berwick. Connor Bailey was a class above tonight but a special mention to Elliot Kelly who fought for every point after taking a few falls himself recently. Rest up lads until next time!
  10. The Comets are back ! What a win and what a comeback!
  11. Nice weather in Workington AGAIN , most of our lads are more familiar with the Berwick track than our own so today wont be all be plain sailing, should be some good racing. Can’t wait to see our lads back on track again! C’mon the Comets!
  12. Gutted I can’t make this one but it’s good to see the old rivalry between Workington and Berwick is back. I’m Predicting a very close score tonight with the Comets taking a narrow 44-46 win Give us a C
  13. Safe trip ! Great to see people travelling to support the new track. The forecast is sunny too!

Kelsey Dugard Edinburgh: Kyran Lyden Mickie Simpson Alex Spooner Adam Roynon Dayle Wood Kyle Bickley Jacob Hook Going to be a close one as a season opener on our new track especially with local lads Adam and Kyle in the Edinburgh team I think we can pull off a home win but like most people I’m just happy to see racing again at Workington after so long.
