  1. That sounds good to me, look foward to seeing him in Comets Colours!!!
  2. Do you have a Hotel booked for than too? as im from cumbria and a stay over is a must. and i dont think there will be many going now.
  3. Would love to go to a GP over there next year! im guessing the atmosphere is something special!?
  4. Nicki Pedersen will be 09 champ i think, but would really love to see Greg do it! il cheers him on and the brit lads
  5. Yes i agree there and also think they wont be much higher then that, unfortunately
  6. As much as id like to see it, i would be very shocked if we have a Brit in the top 8 next year! good luck to Scotty and Bomber tho!!
  7. Greg Hancock is a true sportsman and a credit to Speedway. all the best Greg whatever you do. And good luck with your Monster drink!!hope to see you back next year would love to see you riding back in Britain!
  8. GP challenge with the both of em!! that what i would have done in all honestly!! King Carl Stonehewer done it that way twice (a day to remember!)!! gp rider of your own right if you do it that way!! yes maybe the best we have we dont give our young ones a chance of the give time (like the danes) same old story just like team gb
  9. Why does Nicholls deserve an opportunity, please explain hes been there a good few years now and been given chances and not rode for them. i just dont understand how you can say that??? Tai,eddie, bridger any of em get them wacked in and give em a chance. open your eyes pal our brits were not in the top 8 and therefore should not be in the gp's. give some fresh blood a chance!
  10. No i dont have anything to back up my idea of having Tai and eddie in the gp other then they are young and deserve a chance just like scotty and bomber have had!! i wish them luck but certainly in my eyes theyve had lots of it by getting picked again. then again they wont have been worried im sure they knew theyd be picked what ever happened!
  11. Allways a shame to lose a brit, im aware out lads arent really up to it, but as already said we aint got much else which is also a shame.
  12. Yes , i dont think we will be seeing Bomber in the gps next year, as much as i hate to say it.
  13. Get well soon Chris! its a shame though looks like we have lost a Brit for next year as he wont make the top 8 :-(
  14. Sounds like a plan 5 FURROW team sprite is nil with team gb anyone can see that from just watching them on telly, something has to be done!
  15. as ive said to a few people i no, When Stonehewer was in the Gp's the best he got was 12th in the world, and not much really said as he was over shadowed by Loram and Screeny. Am not sure whats Scotts best placing has been but has it been much better then that?? like i say when he rides Elite league hes a great heat leader!! but its all in his self belief i say.
  16. Cant argue with that, but he showed us he can do it which is frustrating! That why i say its all in the heads with our lads i dont hink they believe they can do it themselves anymore
  17. Yes merv i understand what you are saying, its clear our two boys arent going to be world champs but if they can put a challenge in and try restore some pride in being a Brit that all people want. a British rider to cheer for. and yes the riders you named are a class above. When Bomber won in Cardiff that was superb, he can do it.
  18. Nicki and Hans dont care they will push or battle with any one in the gp's and good on them thats why they are the riders they are. Our boys as A61 said just dont seem motivated, and a bit of sprite and partnership might just help to bring the best out of them is my view.
  19. yeah i agree that they both arent very impressing, and its hard to be positive when you watch them perform in the GP's. but its also frustrating when you see them beat alot of GP riders week in week out in the Elite league, it is more of there mental attitude rather then riding ability that lets them down i believe.
  20. Do these two riders really not get on? Because i think if thats the case, then its time they kissed and made up because they are both very good riders but as everyone can see they seem to struggle some what in the GP's. other countries riders help each other out and i think its time we did too if we want more to cheers about. the GP's are hard enough meetings so a bit of partnership wouldnt go a miss dont you think? Anyone remember when Loram won the World championship, him and Joe screen certainly got on and helped each other out? I no its meant to be every man for himself out there but someone should have a word, before the both of them drop out of the Gp's and they wont get handed a place if it was up to me. sad times for British Speedway at World level. Greg Hancock is my new adoped favorite Brit!!
  21. Are there any more plans at the minute for future meetings at Northside? anyone? Also James Sajeant and Jason Garrity, who has there contract? Sheffield???
  22. Well done Leigh, good gp! Nicki going about his buisness without making to much of a fuss.
  23. Good meeting enjoyed watching Jason Garrity , the lad has some talent well at least at northside he does maybe others can enlighten me as to how he rides elsewear? well done to sarjeant too! i felt sorry for Nathen Stoneman he was in a good position on 2 occasions when he fell on the second bend. Great to see a meeting with such young promise for the future keep it up lads, well done to Northside for putting on the meet. i for one will be coming again!
