  1. Can see Cory having a good season for the Rebels, Time will tell...
  2. Dont think Ashworth is a out and out number 1, gone are the Sean Wilson/Andre Compton days (unless proved wrong ), so i will go with one of the following to be 2009 riders champion, Fisher,Doolan,Topinka or Lyons. Unless Rymel is in there after his performance last year he could be in with a chance.
  3. With Workingtons record in the pairs, and the superb performance last season to take the title, heres hoping we have a repeat performance in 09, But itl be easier said then done. I think the 2009 final will look something like this:- Kevin Doolan & Adrian Rymel (Champions) Jason Lyon & Tomasz Piszcz (If Piszcz can calm down and settle for a position,Brum could be in there!) OR:- Steve Johnstone & Cory Gathercole ( Although they are the home pairing it will be tough for them!) Ryan Fisher & Thomas Jonasson (Think this could be Fishers year- and if Jonasson can make it..... then you never no) As with everything else this in the Premier league this year itl be a hard one to call!
  4. Dont matter where our 4 ride im sure they will still be in the final or there abouts, as you say B4L you only have to look at Workingtons top 4 . Our man Rymel will be out there winding it on! You will be most welcome at Derwent park, im sure we will have some interesting battles with the Bandits over the year! Let the battle commence
  5. Yes i think (well id like to think ) that all bspa events will have Airfences in the not so distant future. or maybe not it is Speedway
  6. Very true i shall miss Kauko (wish him all the best), what a climax it was in that run-off!!
  7. Time for me to stick up for our lads im fed up with people taking away our acheviements, yeah ok we have won things on our own track but so have other teams!! we have also won things on away tracks, at the end of the day you may call us top heavy but everyone knows when the Comets are in town there are top riders out on track! Carl Stonehewer,Simon Stead, James Wright,Peter Karlsson,Mick Powell,Kauko Nieninem,Brent Werner, Garry Stead,Danial Nermark, Paul Thorp,Rusty Harrison to name but a few. And this year with Adrian Rymel, Kevin Doolan and Adam Roynon im sure will be no different! But we won both the fours and the pairs in 2008, didnt we? and the fours was at Peterbourgh a few years ago and we won it there too! Cant take that away from us. we can only beat whats put in front of us and we did C'mon the Comets!!! I find it funny how other teams like to pick on Workington, only cause you no we're a threat!!! bring on 09 i say!! There we go i have released the anger-
  8. Why dont you mention Somerset just Workington ? you could say they may as well hand Somerset the Pairs but you dont.! Mmm just an excuse to have a pick at Workington it seems.? Somerset deserve the pairs after the show they put on last year well done to them. Same as Workington glad a northen track has such a big event! the promotion done a great job last year- look forward to it this year!
  9. Yeah next thing to do is check my shift for that date and swap it if nessersary!!!
  10. Well worth it, Football at Wembley or Cardiff is expensive,, the difference is these lads deserve it cant wait!!! roll on june. Greg Hancock to win.

  12. That sounds good to me, look foward to seeing him in Comets Colours!!!
  13. Pairs 2009 the Worky boys will be there as strong as ever!!! Doolan and Rymel will do the biz.
  14. Do you have a Hotel booked for than too? as im from cumbria and a stay over is a must. and i dont think there will be many going now.
  15. I think that Workington meant to be havin a 10 yr meeting this year but not sure when! That would be good, and id imagine there would be a good line-up, with Stoney back in comets colours!!!
  16. Would love to go to a GP over there next year! im guessing the atmosphere is something special!?
  17. GREG "THE MONSTER" HANCOCK!! cant wait for that one think il have to make the trip over! yes Tai was close to Darren and Sharon so i imagine the PLRC will be there going all out!
