is there anyone from leicester that could tell us the team line ups please looks like still no news from the workington promotion on our team

there was a small piece on our local news tonight keith denham actully spoke as if he did care no threats no arogance but the reporter was tat a few mistakes which could be a bit misleading to anyone thinking of going for first time to show some support

a couple of years ago there was a offer at redcar all suporters who produced a programe from the workington meeting the week before got in for a tenner we took a few programes that we managed to get our hands on and gave them to the redcar fans outside why should we get in cheaper than the home fans sorry quoted wrong post above should have been this one

im affraid davidj has the same atittude that mr denham has every body that dosnt have the same opinion as them is wrongwe all want all clubs to survive its the only way clubs can run if theres another to race against thats my thought too its the best way to get them going on a regular basis

im led to believe both howarth and aarnio will be riding

denham does know who i am keith has had enough but i do believe he would like the speedway to continue but he must change his "my way or no way atittude" for it to continue under his running and not all my posts are slagging off as you call it but lets face it all keiths pree releases slag the fans off for not going he never says the crowd done us prood or anything he dosnt keep us informed about what is going on we get nothing wake up and take the blinkers off im not affraid to speak my mind thats my right ive not said anything thats not true so nothing to worry about thank you for showing your support not only to your own team but to help 1 in trouble

maybe they would workington had to run plymouth on the last day of the season last year remember a monday night or they faced a fine plymouth were also told if they didnt turn up they would be finned

if hes willing to drop the price down to a tenner if the crowd is 1000 + then why dosnt he put that to the press thats a very good idea aslong as he meens it cant say thats not fare if the crowd is big enough to pay the way we get a discount maybe it should be offered as a insentive for the next meetings bring youre ticket to the next match and get a discount ?

well said the first thing he did when he took over was sack most off the staff ban a good number of fans and iff all of those took just 1 family member or friend with them thats the difference between making a healthy profit or making a loss

think you will find keith denham is his own worst enemy he has no pr tact at all threatening people dosnt work

so from what i believe the comets promotion will be in breach of fullfilling fixtures unless its berwick who wont ride on that date leaving 1 of them with a penalty to pay

so did they give a date for the berwick match or not

is there anybody from another track can tell workington fans if this is a double header or not we were told over pa last week it could be and to keep a eye on the papers to get confermation but all our promotor wants to put in the press is that he has contacted bspd to see if he can close down assap and then he cant understand why the crowds have dropped

theres a lot of truth in jengas post if jenga is the person i believe them to be they have more knowledge in running speedway than you give them credit for

i think more important thing is to show all interested partys its woth taking over i really think keiths had enough i will be there if its on as always ive only missed 2 or 3 meetings a year and thats when im away as long as it runs and i can budget for going or i find i no longer enjoy going i will be there whoever is in charge its the action on the track that makes me go week in week out

theres a story on bspa website kyle howarth back in team on saturday so lets hope thats good news for rest of season and we will take next year as it comes

i agree with you apart from the winning team lollets hope workington can hold ipswich close so it makes it harder for the bspa to let denham pull the plug before the end of season

from what i know off keiths attitude both regarding workington speedway and thomas armstrongs i think he would rather shut it than sell it on and the new owners make a better job of it than he did1 things for sure if it does end before the end of the season all the assets and thats not many will go to the bspa so all keith will have to sell to anyone wanting to run it would be the starting tapes and other such equipment if he wants to get anything back then a quick sale sounds a good idea even if its only £10,000 its ten grand in his pocket

in recent times the crowd has been poor at workington speedway and theres many reasons 1 off them is the promotors atitude but im affraid the biggest 1 is people just cant afford to take there familys along to speedway at the price it is in the current economical climate

no mention of workington being up for sale denham is the type to shut it rather then sell on and someone turn it round

sorry but to blame the manager you are wrong jacko is the manager denham is the owner/promotor if he hadnt banned all the fans as soon as he took over we might have had enough paying fans to cover costs but also as others have found out £15 is too much for some to pay ever week in the current climate no he said last year he was thinking of not running the following year this year hes wanting to pull out this weekend and shut before the season is over with league cup and knockout cup still to play for
