  1. 1 of the more realistic posts on here unfortunatly some people just dont see that for 1 reason or another british riders are just not the best option
  2. not really saying that but yes i would say he's slightly better at the moment but not too much on his day with no machinary problems he can do a job but more to the point i was saying there are unlucky riders who are better than the average they sit on some are better than the equipment they can afford also if i was team building he would not have been 1 of the first to be signed theres better out there but i would considor him as part of the overall 7 if the others allowed to take a chance on a rider who MAY improve given a good run
  3. so basicly your saying you dont judge a rider by what you actualy see them doing on track but by the figure the bspa system puts on them avearges dont always tell the true ability of riders
  4. i dont think campton will make a outright top rider but on his day he is good enough for a prem league place above alot of brits who are riding in the national league all this bull about keeping brits out of jobs if there that good they would get a team place some might get a team place a bit easier and make the step up a bit sooner than they would have the simple fact is theres not enough good enough brits to fill team places and give us the standard we expect
  5. fourthbender your post hits the nail on the head if you pay to be part of europe then the smaller whipping boys like the uk must let all the others come over and work in our country and claim more benifits than our born and bread are allowed all because were scared to stand up to them we are sending work out to a company who is employing foreign workers because aparantly its cheaper our temp workers are agency staff who get minimum wage so we send work out to a company in the yorkshire area over 100 miles away it costs between £300 and £500 in transport costs alone so add that on to the wages how can it be cheaper than keeping work local and paying minimum wage ? ilegal foreign sweat shops paying imigrant workers £1 a hour comes to mind never mind the cost of re doing some of the work because the quality of the work is not good enough for our customers
  6. i must say australia is 1 of the hardest place to actualy up ship and move to but from a speedway point of view going by some of the brits who have done the winter over there it looks much easier for a brit to ride in aus than a aussie to ride in our speedway series
  7. theres more to it than the riders average maybe rugby and such other sports should be treated the same and build teams to a set standard and also grade there players
  8. mason campton had 2 year visa but we know hes been refused on re apllying
  9. like most rules and guide lines there nvere that easy to 100% define theres always clever people who can spot looholes or the not so clever that think they spot loopholes and interpret whats wrote down to suit there own views/requirements
  10. thats just it very hard on the riders who have proberbly put themselves in debt to build there 2015 gear up ready for the season they cant start
  11. mason was and proberbly never will be worth 11k and if spud was 19k then lawson should be 25k to 30k at least going on the other 2 listed but lets face it would proberbly never ride for workington again so best option for both teams if there both happy
  12. the thing for me theres been a few meetings and now a workshop but were still no futher forward in what we know speedway is unique as it builds a team upto a certain strength this could be part of the problem rugby teams are signing players much easier so maybe the fact that speedway puts a performance level on the riders could actually be the nail in the coffin for the lower ranked riders the big looser is british speedway not any individual team
  13. but we never have rule changes in speedway oh come to think of it we do but only ever hear of them when someone breaks them
  14. exactly they along with most promotors think they can edit/change and make up rules meeting to meeting
  15. nothing funny about racisim and imigration is even more serious speedway riders have to pass a wtitten and verble english test but anyother sport or job they can come over regardless of if they can speak english where i work my boss always gave foriegners a work sheet got them to read it and explain what it ment now we use agency workers and we get "the dont understand english not good " routine
  16. only black speedway rider i know is sweedish/brazilian and dosnt ride in britten try sticking to the serious topic and not imigration its 2 totaly different things
  17. would that be a certain little aussie who was rumoured to have come in through the back door and done a runner before the seasson ended done very well in both prem and elite leagues but even though plenty of interest for following year claimed he couldnt make it pay to return
  18. can only go back as far as grand parents isnt it
  19. hoggy is best compare/centre green man in speedway
  20. funny isnt it that when workington signed palm-toft it was either hes rubish anyway or we fiddled the average by bringing him on his genuine prem league average as set out in the rules due to him not riding prem league last year now all of a suden now that hes no longer in the team hes a superstar as workington is now a weaker team without him gonna be a interesting season i think
  21. matty weathers has scored very well at workington in the past he may not be the rider he was but might just get his mojo back and start scoring again
  22. over a hour after skoobie broke the news should have been left to the promotion they get loads of stick when its leaked out by others
  23. nothing wrong with workys average convertor unlike some others
  24. if this is the shock news thats due later today i think you should have left it to the promotion to disclose first
