  1. what a selling club values a rider at and what a buying club values the same rider is a different story and usualy they meet somewhere in the middle but arnt loan fees decided by different bands bassed on the riders average
  2. with our new chairman wanting fixed race night whats peoples views on the fixed race night for me its a no go zone as it would be either monday or wednesday only as sunday is poland tuesday is sweden thursday is denmark and friday and saturday are gp nights obviosly there are a couple who would think wednesday nights are a good choice if you run a set night and your home meeting is rained of you could go 3 or 4 week without a home meeting just not acceptable for british speedway in my view i know it s been discussed allready but for some reason this was typed a long time before its actually posted ?
  3. obviosly better than taffy yhen screm dont fancy making a guess about next rider do you (please make it a good one though)
  4. its not all about your number 1 the other 6 are just as important if ricky wells is workingtons no1 it wouldnt bother me he done a good enough job last year to show he can do the buisness
  5. actually they have maybe learned from the past maybe they have decided what route they want to take send everyone away and come back in a couple of weeks to discuss why it wont work
  6. im not a redcar suporter but the thing id like to see back at redcar is a good race track like it was about 3 years ago always enjoyed my visits to the old redcar
  7. he did sign for us this season but then showed his word is not one you can trust
  8. not sure if i qualify as a looser but if were talking who would we like to see win the play offs id say my vote to plymouth simply because they have upped there game so much the deserve it but as a workington fan we have not lost at home this season unlike all other pl teams so maybe a few edinbrugh fans might like to post as they have lost at home which makes them loosers just like all other pl teams
  9. it was introduced in the off season and actually a rider was exclueded in workingtons first meeting this year but aparantly it was later revoked and the new rule lasted all of about 1 week into the new season matt ford and his oppo's must have come foul to it so it was scrapped
  10. riders who continue to do the gardining while others are sat back waiting to be called to tapes are classed as delaying the start if this happened cookie will have been asked by the start marshall to come to tapes im a big believer that riders should be called to tapes in order either 1 to 4 0r outside first then the 2 inside gates but aslong as all meetings follow a set order theres no arguing when a rider delays the start some riders always like to be last rebe bach for instance thinks it gives him advantage as the others start to get twichy when sat waiting for him to come under orders
  11. edingbrugh jim would only make a mistake if it was in edinbrugh's favour just how many important meetings involving edinbrugh does he get involved with far too many or they would have to run with only 1 rider in 1 heat
  12. i disagree i think josh new all along he wasnt going to be a comet in 2015 dropped of well before 2014 finished was a different rider than the one that started the season
  13. sorry but wells has done himself proud this year and a lot of fans are happy hes signed infact the ones ive been talking to recently have all said that wells was the rider they wanted next year along with hanson if he can improve away
  14. not the best meeting off the season but we got through the season unbeaten in what is a very tough league
  15. what like a few teams have done most off the season
  16. or he could go back to glasgow form and loose 2 points
  17. there isnt such a thing all meetings are held to entertain thoose who pay to go in and watch wasnt off the pace a few weeks ago when he rode for the comets and a good friend of mr cooks so im sure a few tips will be given
  18. can the comets continue there unbeaten run ? some think this will be the tuffest test off the season and others think the comets will win easily glasgow almost done the buisness last week in a very entertaining meeting if saturdays meeting is as good as the last 5 or 6 it should be a cracker
  19. maybe it was all teams who dont have a rep on the comittee had to pay for a slap up meal to thoose who decide what rules can be broken by which teams
  20. edingbrugh make it hard for other teams to restage meetings so maybe others wont be too quick to help the monarchs get a fixture on a date that suits them
  21. it takes 2 teams to put on a good entertaining meeting walkovers are nice for the score board but there not entertaining last night was a little too close for comfort though glasgow come back and overtook us then at the last minute we stole it back as speedway fans we are a minority and it would be nice if there was more posotive posts like this we all need to stick together are try and lift our dying sport
