and workington have put theres up to £15 still dosnt mean that £15 is the right price as allready said personaly and i know im not alone if pl speedway was £10 im sure they would get lot more in at most tracks i know my son would go most weeks at £10 as it is he cant afford to go every week or even every other week so dosnt go at all anymore something we talk about a lot and disagree with the people i go speedway with to be competative you need to speend big gone are the days when riders fetle there own bikes
-
i agree you get a few gp riders but as a package the elite is poor product when you look at the sweedish league for example that was aired on eurosport last year
-
too early to say but id put money on that the prem will be more entertaining than the elite over the season

obviously you were fast asleep this morning when the rain was torential read offical statement even jim mcgregor had inspected track this morning and said it wasnt raceable -
wish i could have made it down the video posted at the start of thread is a bit upsetting but seeing rickys face light up when they talk about the football on the xbox gives hope that he may improve a bit more as he obviously is aware of whats going on
-
yeah when the team managers whos are on the bspa comitee or have conections want to change the rules mid season to suit there own teams
-
they will have known this 1 when they signed him last year with lawson it was a bit diferent

What The Visa Issues Could Mean For Teams.

1 thing that has been puzling me its been put on the speddway promotors that they have not been sticking to the rules which we have all or most of us accepted but who was it that granted the likes of mason campton taylour poole and all others there visas ???? suerly there visa aplication should have been regected on the grounds they didnt qualify rather than pass the blame on the promotors -
only because they never had 1 acording to the rumours all british speedway teams had there certificates revoked and had to reapply for them
-
and a rule that was in force at the time as the bspa accepted it

thats the thing some are good enough just havnt dotted the i's and crossed the t's while others who may dot the i's and cross the t's are not good enough to hold down there team place at the levcel required -
it all depends on how you read the rules workington maybe read the rules asked a question at the workshop thingy and accepted campton wouldnt meet the required conditions maybe other clubs might still refuse to accept the rules as they will be forced this year

more likely he had lost his dummie again rusty is unpridictable great rider when all is well when its not all well its another story

too be honest i dont care too much where the rider comes from i do care that the teams im paying my money to watch are of good enough standard to make it value for money -
i never said he was i actualy said i didnt think he would make a top rider the point was shads said he only looked at riders average not there abilaty to improve there avearge if mason rode at his best all the time and had less machinary issues which he seams to have a lot off who knows he may hit the magic 7pt average

1 of the more realistic posts on here unfortunatly some people just dont see that for 1 reason or another british riders are just not the best option -
not really saying that but yes i would say he's slightly better at the moment but not too much on his day with no machinary problems he can do a job but more to the point i was saying there are unlucky riders who are better than the average they sit on some are better than the equipment they can afford also if i was team building he would not have been 1 of the first to be signed theres better out there but i would considor him as part of the overall 7 if the others allowed to take a chance on a rider who MAY improve given a good run
-
so basicly your saying you dont judge a rider by what you actualy see them doing on track but by the figure the bspa system puts on them avearges dont always tell the true ability of riders
-
i dont think campton will make a outright top rider but on his day he is good enough for a prem league place above alot of brits who are riding in the national league all this bull about keeping brits out of jobs if there that good they would get a team place some might get a team place a bit easier and make the step up a bit sooner than they would have the simple fact is theres not enough good enough brits to fill team places and give us the standard we expect
-
fourthbender your post hits the nail on the head if you pay to be part of europe then the smaller whipping boys like the uk must let all the others come over and work in our country and claim more benifits than our born and bread are allowed all because were scared to stand up to them we are sending work out to a company who is employing foreign workers because aparantly its cheaper our temp workers are agency staff who get minimum wage so we send work out to a company in the yorkshire area over 100 miles away it costs between £300 and £500 in transport costs alone so add that on to the wages how can it be cheaper than keeping work local and paying minimum wage ? ilegal foreign sweat shops paying imigrant workers £1 a hour comes to mind never mind the cost of re doing some of the work because the quality of the work is not good enough for our customers

i must say australia is 1 of the hardest place to actualy up ship and move to but from a speedway point of view going by some of the brits who have done the winter over there it looks much easier for a brit to ride in aus than a aussie to ride in our speedway series -
theres more to it than the riders average maybe rugby and such other sports should be treated the same and build teams to a set standard and also grade there players

like most rules and guide lines there nvere that easy to 100% define theres always clever people who can spot looholes or the not so clever that think they spot loopholes and interpret whats wrote down to suit there own views/requirements
