scaramanga replied to boz's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
thats how defeat should be taken too many so called fans cant see past a win for there team -
perfect example of how workington stick with riders longer than they should
-
yeah but we stand by our riders even sometimes when we should let them go

he was trying hard to pass matt wiliamson in heat 8 i think it was maybe too hard either clipped his back wheel or just over cooked it on 4th bend -

workington had a few problems tonight but somerset were a solid team paul starke has come on a lot in a few years rode very well tonight although workington had problems to be honest on the night the score could have been more in somersets favour -
i too feel for cookie and any other rider who takes the gamble to drop the fabulous prem league in search of better things belle vue situation hasnt helped but also hes found out the hard way polish speedway is hard for brits theres too many good home grown riders waiting to take rides so any brits have to really prove themselves as not all countries are as soft as us brits

Bt Sports Costs
scaramanga replied to sportmaniaphotos's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
i looked into bt sports earler this year when motors tv was off air for a short time on sky now ill put my case across the only sports im interested in watching are motorsports which are at the bottom end of priority for broadcastors why cant there be a dedicated motorsports channel for around £5 a month football demands a very high premium why do i have to subsribe to something ill never watch £20 a month for for sports channel is far too much and if people were not as obssesd by football then we wouldnt have to pay such fees to watch other sports -
taken from the comets forum These averages have just been released and we have a new number 1! Claus Vissing 8.93 Ricky Wells 8.80 Kenneth Hansen 7.37 Rasmus Jensen 6.71 Mason Campton 5.00 Adam Roynon 4.66 Matt Williamson 3.00 Total 44.47
-
rolling averages must be different as claus is listed at no 1 for the ryehouse meeting

young dan was never far off the pace on a big track even once when he looked like the bike was gonna slide away from him he pulled bike up and carried on looks like he has the potential to be a good rider i think proctor done us a favour rasmus jensen looks better than what i would expect from proctor wasnt masters 2nd lowest scorer last night oh yes 2 points just the same as rookie dan bewly and only the zero from max clegg being lower think adam roynon had 6 or 7 points last night

not round workington if they forget to turn the taps on it runs out on the first lap also very little fuel is in the engine theres more in the carburettor mind but still not enough to do 2 laps thank god not enough room for two golden boys and lamberts average is almost double masons so unfair to have a dig at mason if he was as good as i was expecting after his first or second ride he would have been in front like other top riders that come to derwent park for the first time obviously this young lad is good but dont think from what i saw hes the superstar others think he is all riders can have a off night hopefully ill see the real robert lambert in the future and ill change my opinion i acn only judge from what i see with my own eyes both worrall's and ludvig all rode better than lambert last night ludvig had a poor first ride and then improved as the night went on something i expected lambert to do but he didnt realy improve that much if any

scaramanga replied to Comet Dan's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
yes there was a couple of 65 second heats -
they dont sponser the speedway just the rugby so derwent park if you dont mind we pay for 15 heats i know and accept safety comes first but at the end of the day when meetings end early we are short changed arnt we cant knock matt wiliamson's efforts either hansen looks like hes right up for it this season
-
sadly we all know £14000 is not enough to keep a speedway team alive for a season
-
just like to add my name to the list real sad news and agree its really hard for all involved we dont know why its happenend on the eve of the new season but im sure some warning could have been given

the main thing is it was cancelled due to poor track resulting in no injured riders so thats 1 posotive we all need to look at if it went ahead and we had a injury this would suerly have been a worse thing
