  1. thats the difference between a good profesional and someone like lambert no question the lad can ride a speedway bike but im not sure he is fully comited to go all the way and also his attitude towards the sport is summed up by his heat 13 shomboating while getting beat im expecting either a 15 pt max from him at newcastle or if they have a word about his showboating might be lucky to see him get 4 points after he looses his dummy i did see it later on but for some reason the page hadnt updated on my pc at the time i posted looks like something was blocking the site
  2. ofcoarse if your not on facebook your not good enough to be told any info thease days but they still want your money every week
  3. not having a go at stevie personally but weve seen this far to often recently when riders are "injured" the injury only seams to affect them at certain tracks or leagues
  4. shuttleworth has always been close enough all season to show this lad has something after all hes about the least experienced rider in this league but never gives up and never totaly of the pace thats the story of workington speedway seams that all teams that are not too good at home find form or strengthen just in time for workingtons visit
  5. really nice to see a home fan giving credit to the away team regardless of who the teams are
  6. well we noticed it too and did coment that we were surprised it was allowed now i agree to a point that full on safety boots might be slightly over the top but flip flops are not what id expect to see i can remeber richard juul at workington spinning the back wheel in the pits before the meeting checking the clutch he got his fingers caught in the chain resulting in loosing part of finger/fingers so h&s is something to be considorded
  7. only problem there is most spectators dont understand what they shout for how many shout for more dirt then when its too grippy to turn the bikes they start crying bad track but yes i do agree most modern riders want slick booring but safer track
  8. i prefer the bigger tracks but do agree redcaer always produced good racing when it was prepped right a good speedway track for me is 1 thats prepaired well for good grip but not too much the shape is vital to allow riders to ride different lines and try and pass rather than just follow and hope to make a pass on inside or out depending on the rider infront mooving off line a fair track is always better for neutrals rather than a trick/biassed track to favour the home team or a individual rider
  9. i think most will know what your stating here isnt exactly as it happens out of interest how much is a new gerhard engine and how much for a new gm before tunning would be nice to see asort off low reserve get hold of 1 and see if it helps them a bit like nathan geaves as he went pritty well at workington a few weeks ago wasnt that good when he rode for workington a couple of years ago
  10. going by the colour of the sky when i was traveling home at 9pm the rain isnt far away ive been told the track wont take much more water so im expecting a early call off
  11. right ive just read the bspa statement on this and it puts a different twist on it heat 10 would have only had both glasgow riders so almost certain it would be a 0-5 so there fore after heat 10 the score would have been 24 - 37 but i still dont actually agree with the subsection rule it states when the result is mathmaticcly sure another 5 heats to run so in theory redcar could have scored another 25 points or 28 if tac ride hadnt been used allready
  12. this should be ran as a free entry meeting or behind closed doors anything else fans should boycot the meeting but id say the nspa susspect the call off was a bit like when workington were at armadale a few years back and were beeting edinburgh in bad conditions when it was called off to avoid a away win obviously workington got stuffed on re reun its obvious redacr were going to get hammered but once again the paying public have paid the price and glasgow have got a result that they would have got but slightly underhand way
  13. now come on dont expect all us english to agree with a scothman talking sense
  14. was 6th may not the date the rugby ground who have first choice of venue held a pop concert remember workington sppedway plays 2nd fidle to the rugby club
  15. typical home biassed texter there are some who genuinly text what happens both ways but more often the texter only sees things from there own teams side
  16. come on jenga me old marra unchanged from start of season are you forgetting we dropped roynon and brought it zeberdee oh sorry james sarjent i did find another thread buat as you started this 1 at 5.50 and the other was started some 22 minutes later at 6.12 i think its not you who need to say sorry and it looks like the other poster was saying sorry and merged the two threads
  17. thats nothing peter waite would still be wateriing the track in that
  18. great spoilt a good bit of banter unless harris is held up in traffic and ged has a very big hose pipe pointing up in the air its obvious to all that harris had signed before they got meeting put back and they needed a reason to put start time back without telling hansan he was getting dropped
  19. definatly not honest but would we also tell lies to get meeting put back from 5pm to 7pm when it has now become obvious bomber must allready have been signed now then is that road block in place on route all you ken hansan fans
  20. no rider is unstopable cookis been beat a few times at home so hes beatable away too hopefully its a good fair meeting with no bad accidents or questionable reffering decissions
