i guess its no surprise that the unoffical comets forum is off line tonight as for the comets management well they deserve all the flack they get my mate asked me tonight if id be unhappy if speedway r4an next year at workington and i found it hard to give him a answer the junior match afterwards had more entertainment than the 15 long heats tonight paul bowan would have been shown up in the 125 races as he couldnt turn his bike during the main meeting the kids showed what a entertaining close race the track could produce in the interest of speedway james sargent should be banned from the sport which also inclueds the start off next season he is a disgrace to the whole sport ive never ever seen a rider remove his helmet during a race before ive seen riders get a fine for doing practice starts on parade without a helmet so james should at least get a fine

well looking much brighter than expected but theres big clouds over speedway in workington at the moment will they be rain clouds tonight or will we get speedway im sure newcastle are much stronger with bomber guesting for the wizz kid lambert who seams to take 2 or 3 rides at workington before we see what he can do a few miles from track its blowing a bit but fairly biright so far

bad planning that who works out the fixtures oh its edinbrugh well about time that were worked out different to alow all clubs a chance to hold regular meetings instead of 3 or 4 week gaps in mid summer

i always found glasgow fans to be very knowledgable and as a whole fans of all speedway sadly some but im pleased to say not all have changed since there fortunes have been turned around some think they should be unbeatable and also noone in there team can do wrong since they got new backing but as ive said its only some

i agree there could be some sort of friction and agree adams been booked due to his/workingtons situation but if theres been anything between the 2 partys its not anyones doing apart from who evers responcible for adam and workington falling out

there are very strong rumours that there might be speedway in some areas next year and each team will need 7 riders mason is very close to workington promotion while i agree hes a little up and down he has improved again this year and at times has looked pritty good aswell as looking poor some meetings

at last scotty fullfills his promise to return from about 4 years ago when he was booked to do a few demo runs and never did them but i susspect he still got paid

workington were given a start time so not there fault that they didnt get ready untill close to the start time double headers dont work draged out too long and wonder what would have been said if workington were ready to go and asked to start 5 mins after the first meeting finished

i hope so at least we can use a guest even if that guest dosnt score it will stop most of us paying fans the heartache of seeing someone waring a comets bib thats such a embarssment as that

nice to see 5 off the workington team +1 guest looking more like racers tonight than the last few weeks some good racing tonight from both teams riders from both teams coming from the back to win races this is more like a speedway meeting than what weve been getting as for the 6th member of the comets team well all i can say is i hope he never gets a ride anywhere ever agin after going public saying he is keeping his average down for next year and making it obvious hes not interested while out on track no one should ever employ him again

13 heats and a full 2nd half would give you more racing so better value for money and reduced costs

proctor has incressed his average even though he has a few e/f's and is a little inconsistant id have him back matt hasnt looked anywhere near what he can do for the last 2 months or so not sure whats gone wrong with him cook probably is too good for a 2nd level league but the 1st level is a piss poor watered down league that isnt as competative as the 2nd with him almost certain to be a gp rider next year id think hell be looking to drop the best league in british speedway sergant well i wouldnt have signed him in the first place and id never have him back even as a guest when you compare him to the likes of tero arnio who will have been a similar average at the time it should have been a no brainer james sergant is a embarasment as for the senario with the no7 well where do you start campton is the real mystery on full form he can beat anyone as a whole package well i suppose id have to say hes probably too much of a gamble and even when out front comftorbal he can suddenly just move over on a different line and let riders pass who wernt even that close and his ht8 1st bend falls when he misses the gate well its almost as comon as james start jumping
