id say some promoters dont have the time to travel abroad for a meeting that is dictated by promoters who hold high positions in the sport this is british speedway the meeting should be held in britten and it should involve all who want to take part the following season
-
maybe the deal is cant confirm hes in the sheffield team until workington anounce there top end and therefore wont be using him
-
id say theres at least 2 in that line up that wont be right
-
as i said just because there not anounced it dosnt mean there not signed so if there singed there is no problems also if teams are signed it hasnt been slower the only thing is we dont know last year for some reason everyone seamed to release details a lier than normal i havnt missed any point YOU have took it for granted that because they havnt told YOU hows it each team that they dont know themselves speedway is a great big mystery machine they only tell you what they want when they want regardless of if its true , fact or fiction l
-
just because there not made public it dosnt mean there not signed.
-
is it deffo that the rider with work comitments was a returning rider i thought the statement said the rider we wanted couldnt comit im sure theres more in place than people think. go back a few years most teams didnt really release names before christmas last year it was all done early so people just expect the same
-
it does look like the promotion havnt learned anything as not 1 off them has posted anything and offical site also not that great with info we all know the problem is not laura real shame things arnt improving ive not given up hope of a decent season on track but really hope im wrong but workington looks like its self destructing from the top down
-
same could be said with many a speedway rider youll be surprised how many want a van as part of deal well it was in the past many just use rentatruc now a days
-
cant see workington gonig for tungate probably be over budget. but on last years form he could do a job id say
-
and did clegg start at reserve or was it riss im sure davey was on a 2 sure there was a fuss made of it at the time
-
wasnt this the starting lineup for 2017 Edinburgh 1. Sam Masters (8.97) 2. Ricky Wells (7.92) 3. Eric Riss (6.85) 4. Josh Pickering (5.00) 5. Max Clegg (4.34) 6. Mark Riss (4.00) 7. Mitchell Davey (2.00) Total: 39.08 Remaining: 0.92
-
he didnt but davey didnt meat all the requirements either did he point proved
-
so if we got lets say if we got a rider like peter kildermand to apply and get british citizen clubs could sign him on a 2 point average no way should davey be classed as a 2 pointer hes rode in this league too much and previously held a average above the limit that was set
-
are you sure always thought mitch was australian with british ansestrey thats why it took so long last year to get his average confirmed even if he is british born he should never have been on a 2 point average as hes been riding for years at this level
-
started on a average last year that wasnt intended for australians
-
yeah but they want be able to fiddle his average 2 years in a row will they thats why theres rumours he will be at another team in 2018
-
matt did have a spell where he went right off but came back towards end of season im sure matt hass more to offer wouldnt like to choose between him or kasper kasper lykee has went well round workington very well at times but hes also had a poor run of form when he couldnt do anything much good
-
as much as i dislike the track at newcastle it would have been awful to loose newcastle as a team just like workington thease are 2 clubs that need more support but you can say the same about almost all clubs in british speedway
-
wait and see was annonced mid season hed signed letter of intent but thats not the same we all know 2 year deal in speedway means nowt
-
there was noone better than peter waite for uncovering good 3 pointers
-
i agree but if rumourd are right theres atleast 1 in that team that wont be riding for workington and the info comes from a old sponsor
-
not yet my guess is either scunthorpe or edinburgh but ive heard hes been assessd as a 7pt rider
-
its been proved in the past when clubs have been told a rider would be on a certain average only for another to sign them on a lower average it happenedd only a few years ago cant remember who but there was a big fuss made of it
-
but thats the issue its open to all clubs to apply but not all clubs will get the same average
-
you could say all who have rode in uk are listed and any who are interested need to registar there interest and then they are assessed and given average but they shouldnt be assessed there should just be a list a rider in chinas league 1 gets there average divided by 3 as that league is stronger or spanish league is weaker so it gets multiplied
