  1. looks like they have called it off as riders were at tapes for ht 14 strange as id of expected a Workington advantage from ht 14
  2. yep 5 - to lake side but still slow track obviously not that good hope no rider gets hurt regardless of team
  3. 5-1 to comets in ht 12 lets just hope the restart comes back to haunt lakeside
  4. not enough for call off apparantly track good to go when rain stops ? just how they can work that out im not sure
  5. Workington track is normaly fairly neutral but this season the team is very strong at home no trick lines at Derwent park
  6. Carlisle airport has lots of land few years ago there was a track well away from runways for radio controlled cars which held some big meetings there not just the little toy things but the proper serious things doing around 60mph and more there is more than enough land in this area for a speedway track theres even been rally special stages held there
  7. if Workington run next year im sure it will be at Derwent park the simple fact is not enough money coming in for to run at moment either more sponsorship and /or more paying fans is needed
  8. that would have been the icing on the cake if he did present the trophy
  9. and biggest surprise of the night walked in to see it on the news team photo and score line wow did we really win by that many on aggregate after being 18 down first leg Scunthorpe were not poor tonight Workington were just at another level
  10. just read the offers and ive got to say that's a good offer as lots of different options they could have just said entry for any 1 of the remaining fixtures with no part refund
  11. whos Stephen lambert ride for then we all knew the setup before the start off season and it gets boring every year at end of season when people moan about it I actually agree top off league should be champs but that's another issue
  12. does that normaly happen with rain offs no its either award the fixture or full re run its just like being on a 5 1 and the 3rd or 4th place rider goes down then they get 3 3 in rerun
  13. and it was well know that 1 off them teams refused a few dates to run the fixture
  14. maybe if the 2 sides can work something out between them that will be the way to go but who with a chance of winning the league playoffs will just stand down if they don't have too id feel really bad if my team were in with a chance and forfeited
  15. it was obvious that lakeside were going to go through if meeting continued but others have had meetings called off in the past when 1 team was obviously going to win only for the rerun to favour the other team now as a Workington fan I wouldn't like to call this 1 do we want to see lakeside 3 out of 4 last meetings no not really do I think panthers with only 2 of there own riders and 4 selected track guests are a good opposition well who knows panthers did finish top before playoffs and were going well but its not the same team now and are a lot weaker either way there's just over a week to go and it needs sorted soon as next weekends weather forecast for up north is no looking too good
  16. also if anyone sees a post on facebook/twiter or otherwise regarding rearranged date please post for the others who are not on such websites
  17. tero can do the job but his last few visits havnt been too good score wise but he was in the visiting team the light rain has got a little heavier since I got up lets hope it does clear we need to keep this momentum going before we all wake up and the bubble bursts its a good but stressful time to be a comets fan
  18. there was a few maybe most of the fans were little less confident but there was 1 or 2 who thought they had it in the bag
  19. for me the more the comets get knocked down this year they seam to fight back harder
