  1. Chump I love that word Happy new year to all
  2. Transfer fees in speedway are dead ducks. Clubs don't have the money these days. It's a saga indeed
  3. Is it not other teams jobs to beat Edinburgh? I'd like to see them struggle....it comes across as a bit petty to be honest. If I'm honest I think we will be in the mix as always this year but Peterborough, Glasgow and possibly Workington could all do well.
  4. It's a team with potential but you have to concede there are huge question marks. Worrall and Josh are both good young riders but if you're going to push on one of them needs to be that out and out number 1. Put a point on the average. Kurtz is a no brainier he will push on, quality lad. Charles Wright, steady second string. Lanham, on a downward spiral for a long time now. He won't consistently do it for you on the road. Reserves Starke I really like him, could push on into the top 5. Good rider. Digger will do well to hold a 3 point average. You have a promotion who made changes and won you the league in 2013 and I think they mAy have to do the same again
  5. With all due respect max dilger. Never done anYthsie of note in British speedway was garbage for us at Edinburgh. Didn't pull up any trees at Redcar and was quite frankly awful at Peterborough. Bug good luck to somerset. They have a good track record and they be the club to get the best out of max.
  6. Cook is the second or third best rider in the league; okay then.....For some on here gets slated for being un ambitious and to good for the pl. Some mental comments on here but this takes the biscuit
  7. Whatever the starting point calling someone an idiot etc....really But speedway does itself no favours. If somerset had the average wrong from the start the bspa needed to say straight away sorry wait a minute and not let the issue fester. The bspa in all likelihood knew weeks ago that somerset and Berwick for that matter had interpreted the regulations incorrectly. But said nothing. Not anyone's fault as such. But as a fan for me I'd like to see holder ride in the league. Just saying
  8. why get so defensive? Calling someone an idiot out of order. Do you have a greater understanding of speedway; greater than anyone else on here? Obviously you believe you do, power to you. The new king and guru. For years speedway has had ridiculous rules. It's nothing new. Always changes year on year. But getting personal and calling names show you have nothing decent to ckntribute
  9. To be honest mate I think I stopped reading after like 200 replies
  10. If Lewis Kerr kicks on like he has in recent years the boy could easily hit a 9 point averge I think the pressure could be the making of him. My favourite visiting rider
  11. Robin Hockenhull or something like that. Kept banging on about Jason Doyle. Eventually got banned
  12. I'm pretty sure the poster in robin who was banned from the monarchs Facebook page for causing aggravation. Sad lives some people live
  13. If you want to full time then you need that foreign contract to progress and if you don't get that contract then to get enough meetings you need the premier league. The elite used to be the logical step. Loads of meetings on a regular basis against world class opposition, unfortunTely the elite league is no longer that. Where do riders go? Who would give relatively unproven guys that chance? It's a double edged sword.
  14. No. I said if Somerset interept the rule in a way, and it's wrong then publicly state it. Read it in context. Doesn't matter picking at straws and anyone who has Rab C as their cover pic can't be a Bad. My fav TVs show lol
  15. Not his biggest fan but I accept he's good to watch. But I reckon for the diamonds Lewis Kerr will flourish this year. We need to keep young Brits like these two riding week in an week out makes me show up lol
  16. It would show how great the speedway world is
  17. I'm a monarchs fan, but to have a top stadium in Scotland for speedway would be great. It gives the sport credibility and to be ambitious enough to undertake this project speaks volumes for the new owners, it's admirable
  18. I'm not expecting anyone to agree with anything. Im not an uber fan or forum junkie. Im just a fan on here asking a question and your asking me how do I know it's not somersets fault? I asked why no clarification that's all..... The fact you've had to type and abbreviated expletive to express yourself sums it up. As I say i know nothing, don't pretend to have any inside knowledge of the agm or that. But the original point being clarification of the situation and let all involved move on, a statement and then it's done. That's all I am saying
  19. Yeah would see decent bets and Simon Lambert may end up in the top 5 with Roynon dropping down so you'll have a decent reserve over the course of the season regardless
  20. I don't know anything. All I'm saying is if Somerset have made an error the authorities need to flag this and say well actually this is this case..it's not in the interests of the sport to let it drag out. Just clarify it for the clubs, the riders who may be dropped and the fans. I don't know why you have to get personal in your posts. I state an opinion like anyone else on here. I wasn't at the agm nor do I have any inside track. But apparently you do....
  21. I think somebody in the authorities needs to clarify the position as regards new Aussies. I think there is a grey area. We just need clear statement telling us if somersets declared 7 is acceptable or not. I think speedway shoots itself in the foot with issues like this. This is not the somersets promotions fault, they have taken a rule in a certain way and they need to be told if the position they have taken is valid or not. Just decide sooner rather than later and put these issues to bed....
  22. Would diamonds rather have a team of 6-7 point men for strength and depth and hope say Kerr pushes up to be the out and out number 1 or get a more proven guy. I think judging by who is still about it may be a strength and depth team with lindgren, worrall etc joining the two Lewis's
  23. What about Liam Carr? Boy has the talent maybe lacked the machinery and confidence at Berwick but he would do a job I reckon
