  1. I am looking for a JAWA 884 long stroke engine. This engine needs to be no older than 2000 and be in good condition. Cash waiting for right engine. Thanks
  2. Bump. Anyone? Note - rules say NO BUMPING. If people dont reply its probably because they dont know
  3. Hi, Does anyone have Chris Holder's race winning time from the final (Heat 23) at Cardiff yesterday? Thanks in advance.
  4. Eddie Kennett was pretty poor on Monday and Lee Richardson would almost definitely do a better job in Poland but what would being dropped do for Edward's confidenence and would this help his enthusiasm and development for the future which is what this year was supposedly all about? Tai was OK but I saw him at Wolverhampton and Ipswich on Monday and Thursday respectively last week and I have to say he is looking a little burnt out... or am I just expecting too much of this young talent too soon? As was mentioned in a previous post, I did not see Nicholls in the pits at Peterborough on Monday and don't feel that his form this year warrants a place.
  5. I went to Foxhall and watched this match and enjoyed watching the youngsters have some competitive action. These are the sort of meetings that we need more of in this country if we are ever going to become a top speedway nation again. Australian Darcy Ward looks like an excellent prospect of the future.
  6. Bring the Golden Helmet back that's what I say. It add's just that little bit more entertainment value to a meeting.
  7. I would like to see an amalgamation of the Elite and Premier Leagues or at least an equal number of teams in each divison. This season sees 8 teams in the EL which is just not enough variety, plus with the league being "watered" down this year I cannot say that the racing has been any better, infact it has been worse! I'm not sure whether the Promotion & Relegation thing will really work as from what I read most PL promoters don't seem to have the desire to take their team in to the EL even if promotion is achieved. Are some of the GP boys really goner be happy riding PL speedway if their team in relegated? I think not! The introduction of 3 points for an away win this year has it merits and the EL table is currently fairly close, but the aggregate bonus point should have also been retained. On the front of the lack of British talent, it seems to me that it is so increadibly difficult for an anspiring youngster to get in to speedway. Very few clubs these days run open practice or even proper organised second-halfs. The Danes and Swedes are all riding cut down bikes at very young ages so by the time they are 16 or 17 they are way ahead of the British boys (with the exception of young Tai Woffinden who has a huge future ahead of him). I know it is difficult with curfews and noise restrictions etc, but clubs could do more to encourage more home grown talent in to the sport and nurture them through rather than flying in some unknown pole because his average fits.
