Whatever the team selection .would it not be possible to arrange a match for them at the peterborough track before the qualifier? They could pick a team to give them a decent practise,or is that to simplistic.Just a thought

A couple of things about drunks at cardiff.On our way to stadium a large drunken lout wearing a speedway tee shirt came stumbling out of a pub and belched straight in my wifes face .When i asked the thug for an apology he replied f@@@ off or i'll fll you in you old @@@@. the other one was going to the toilet at the end of the meeting i was roughly pushed out of the way by a group of drunken polish supporters racing to get there first.On a better note i would like to :neutral:thank the staff of the green park & ride and all the true supporters for helping my wife (who is semi disabled and needs a walking stick)and i by helping us to get seats on the lower deck of the buses.She can only climb stairs with difficulty so their help was really appreciated.Everbody (including me) moans at the bad manners & drunkeness so i would say lets hear it for the vast majority of real fans who were brilliant and made it a night to remember.THANK YOU, and all being well, will be back next year.

For me it was a live test match in the early seventies.It was at the boulevard in Hull.Young england v Young poland.Cant recall many riders(if anyone can help thanks)it ended up 45all I just remember it as a cracking race meeting.

thinking about the tracks i have visited over the years i wonder which ones were/are considered home bankers due to the track not the team.which tracks do teams go to feeling beaten before they start due to home track advantage. crewe & exeter due to there size nelson & rochdale by just being nelson & rochdale.which tracks these days are considered to have the most advantage.

i started this thread about chris holder for gp. what i would like to know is.the top eight qualify for next year automatically. then you have the ones who came through the qualifiers.my question is who picks the other riders is it the individual countries or the gp commitee?and are they chosen on a nationality or an ability criteria.sometimes i am amazed at the decisions they make

am i missing something.Nothing against chris holder he is a good rider articulate and modest and deserves a gp spot.My beef is he is australian and if he gets a gp place next year will it be at the expense of a british rider? Surely that is wrong if he takes part it should be at the expense f an aussie.Seems logical to me.
