Chris Harris Cardiff Wild Card
phillipsr replied to racers and royals's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Scott Nicholls has all that apart frim a win he has made a final tho and numerous semi finals he is also a 7 x british champion so why does Harris deserve it more than him? Im not suggesting Scott should of been handed it either but its silly to suggest Harris deserved it more. -

Chris Harris Cardiff Wild Card
phillipsr replied to racers and royals's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
A terrible decision!!! Should be the winner of British Final or runner up to Tai. Also hate this thought that you cant chuck a youngster in at deepend and expext them to swim?? Weve been giving Harris years of swimming lessons amd he still sinks so what difference does it make -

I think particluarly at the temporary stadium tracks he will shock a few. Im going for a podium place at Cardiff coupled with a couple of semi final places at the other temp tracks. Im feeling overly positive this morning -
Thanks Phil

This has been brought for me and my finacee as wedding gift this year as we get married three weeks after the event just wondered if anyone knows if you get an itinery of what times you have to be at stadiums etc? Also does anyone know if you can pay extra to watch some races from centre green (Do they still let people do that? Would appreciate any info anyone has on it

Think Ellis will be number 1 by the end of the year and that will be impressive with Perry in the team but that lad is going to be very very special
-
Personally would prefer Bridger over Allen but both genuine number ones

Excited to find out who Ryes number one is. I'm going for Olly Allen. I was told by Lewis Bridger its not him

Is Speedway Too Expensive Now ?
phillipsr replied to Super Blue's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Arsenal charged fans £10 to go to last nights game far better value.. Fair enough if u don't like football but imo speedway is far to expensive for what you get -
Is Speedway Too Expensive Now ?
phillipsr replied to Super Blue's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
yes speedway is expensive its essentially £1 for every minute of action. Would you say £80 for a rugby match or £90 for football is to expensive. You also have to realize that 90% of speedway races aren't that exciting to watch and especially league racing has very little in the way of atmosphere. Cardiff and the GPS are slightly different as the atmosphere makes up for the price. -

I honestly believe the only riders we should keep are Mellgren and Garrity. I think Mellgren will be a real trump card next year on what is still a relatively low average. Rye would be mad not to sign him as IMO he will be a number 1 in nearly any team by the end of next season. Garrity has shown real promise espcially lately despite being injured. Id be ok with Gjedde but would prefer Doyle or prehaps Masters. Wouldnt mind Lanham as a 3rd heat leader/2nd string. The whole place needs a shake up
