Alcohol At Cardiff
Phillip Addison replied to loyal royal's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Nevs and Ian Martin, i appreciate what you are saying and thanks for those sentiments. If theres one thing i cant stand its drunks behaving like idiots to the point they cant stand, and it only takes one behind you spilling beer all over you to spoil the Cardiff experience. Im not against ' atmosphere ' id love to take in a Polish league match with 20,000 there, and yes more than a little alcohol would be in evidence lol !!! But as someone said early on this thread ' Cardiff is great, its speedways biggest p'ss up. Mmmmmm. Maybe i'll re-think it on your advice though, after all if you havent tried it once ? Cheers [hic ] -
Gb World Cup Team

Good post. Eddie Kennet was i rider i wasnt impressed with 2 or 3 years ago. On the bigger tracks like Sheffield he looked like a novice. Now he looks a different rider. I always look forward to watching him race and he gives it 100% Id pay good money to watch this talented lad now. Some people on here have ties to riders that either ride for their team or used to and they are simply biased. You have to give the youngsters a chance and more importantly you have to PUSH them. No good blooding them in meaningless test matches against Denmark or Sweden. Put them in these pressure cooker situations. And another thing, i havent see too much TEAM SPIRIT in the GB camp last year or two.Hardly surprising with the Nicholls / Harris spat. Better if Nicholls is a hundred miles away and lets see these lads back each other up like the Aussies and Danes do. I'll be chearing for this team GB far more than any other in the last 3-4 years. I wish i could get to Peterborough now ! -

He was absolutely dire in last years WC . I can still see his haunted blank staring expression in the pits as we were getting mullered. -

Whatever happens at Peterborough i want to applaud Rob Lyon for his selection. I think he's spot on. Nice to see Tatum putting even more pressure on young Danny King already by questioning his selection though, not ! Lining himself up for an ' i told you so ' smug reaction if he doesnt do well ? I think on form all the young lads DESERVE to be in and it has to be the way to go for the future. Of course it doesnt mean the team will be the same if we get to Leszno, Richardson will surely come in then. -

Never been to Cardiff, was thinking of going next year but after reading this thread [ and a pretty similar one last year ] i wont even bother. If i want to watch morons acting that way i can tune into one of those late night cops with cameras programmes chasing their tales around classless binge drinking scum that blight the UK now. I think its PATHETIC when so called adults have to get drunk and behave like this in the name of enjoyment. And the sad thing is it includes riders. If i was a promoter and one of my riders acted up like this his feet wouldnt touch the floor...on the way out. -

Pedersen wipes out Emil for the fourth time in four GP's, no doubt now he's scared $h~&less about this new threat, your dominant days are over Pedersen. oh and by the way to answer your question of ' Whats going on, whats going on ' after your puncture ??? It's called Karma -

How about putting the shot of Pedersen laughing in the background at Hans as he left the track following his crash with Seb Ulamek. Or for that matter for Big Fat Dave as he lost sound Pedersens rant with 12 'F' words in 30 seconds, or the shot of him kicking his pit chair through the air into his monitor. -
Another Ridiculous Exclusion
Phillip Addison replied to Brummie Boy's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Spot on. I doubt if anyone noticed this either. When Hans Andersen had his very nasty crash with Ulamek and showed concern Pedersen would never have, Pearson is saying ' Dont know what Hans is gesturing about ? ' as he rides off the track. Well play it back and look in the background at Pedersen laughing at Hans. -

He didnt keep to his line. As someone else pointed out, sorry cant remember who, he moves OUT slightly going into the bend. Sayfutdinov never changes his line. Pedersen had loads of room to pass the guy cleanly on the inside [ maybe wanted to avoid the ruts ] but simply took his front wheel away. To accuse Emil of cheating is ridiculuos -

Pedersen is a psychopath on a bike. For psychopath read ; ' a person afflicted with severe mental disorder causing him to commit antisocial often violent acts ' Well that seems to sum him up pretty well in a NUTshell to me. Three times in three GP's he's knocked Emil off. No wonder Emil looked twice inside going down the straight, he knew what was coming !! We will see plenty more of this from Pedersen this season as he becomes more desperate and ' blames the world ' The scruffy old fleabitten dog on the block doesn't like this new puppy it seems. Your days are numbered Pedersen, maybe you should take that holiday and make it an extended one. -
Like to see that, is there a link to this on the internet anywhere ?

Gelsenkirchen Off !
Phillip Addison replied to smartace's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
This is a good point. They honestly couldn't organise a p*** up in a brewery. Disgusting, shameful, and despicable to take the money off the fans when they obviously knew it wasnt goint to be on. I dont blame the stadium staff [ and i follow Borussia Dortmund - Hate Schalke 04 ] BUT i do blame the organisers . We need to know WHO'S fault it is, BSI, Ole Olsen, whoever and heads SHOULD roll for this . But as in most cases when things go pear shaped the rats have scarpered and they will be getting their stories straight, so they are all singing fronm the same hymn sheet and we will move on to the next shambles. The GP series can go t**s up for all i care now. As long as ive still hopefully got league racing to watch in 5 years time i will be happy, but the way its going with more fans getting fed up and harder times around the corner it is worrying. -

Yes it would be 'delete as appropriate to your feelings ' either Ironic or a pity or justice if next week in Poland it rains for a couple of days I've read through all the above posts, and either taken onboard or scoffed at some of the conspiracy theories. I must admit to having a vision of the Danes soaking the shale on the barge when they heard Nicki was injured, lol [ only joking Wolverine, ] But seriously, it can only happen in speedway, what a farce. At least we will see a GP on a real track though instead of this most Mickey Mouse of all Mickey Mouse tracks. Last years GP was a snoozing borefest. I feel sorry for the fans that have spent money to go there but i wouldn't but thats their choice at the end of the day. I have never been to Cardiff either and dont intend to, id rather watch Conference League speedway than these false toy tracks. One thing that i find interesting though is the lack of any replays of this GP for the first time as if something was known a few days ago [ as others have pointed out ] plus the total lack of interviews and explanations from trackside from riders or officials. Maybe the situation is such an unbelievable embarrassing cock up that they cant actually FACE the cameras because the explanation would do speedway more harm in the credibility stakes than good. Speedway called off in warm dry weather in indoor stadium, astonishing. -

Hey this forum is about opinions . I was told beause my opinion and one or two others differed that i needed to go to specsavers so i reserve the right to say most people on here dont know one end of a bike from another, fact. Possibly you are one of them i dont know or maybe you are one of the sheep that follows the latest fashion trend, has to drive a proper car as being told by that fat lump on top gear and believes everything you read in the papers by people who must know better because they have the expertise. I bet your record collection is so safe and dour even. Phil Collins ???? Tatum is poor on sky. If YOU paid attention then YOU would notice his mistakes every week, he doesnt even know the basics, two weeks ago asking why a rider had to be put in one heat when hed only had two rides. Last week he couldnt even tell who the riders were Pearson having to tell him it was a programme error. Maybe he should go to specsavers eh ? -

Subedei you are wasting your time, just leave it. They have obviously bought into the opinions of the sky ' experts' and quite how Tatum can be classed as such as he talks absolute crap all the time is beyond me. Ive never read such nonsense on here. But hey Subby we are in the minority that are correct. Comments like ' Gollob hit Crumps front wheel' are laughable !! Try watching the replay again if you tape it. Crump chops across Gollob so aggressively he wallops the fence, Gollob does his trademark inside cut back hes done a thousand times. Crump is GOING DOWN as Gollob is alongside him something i think Ermolenko alluded to and Crumps left arm and wrist [ the one he had an ice pack on after ] hits Gollobs tyre. Thats the back wheel by the way for those of you that dont know one end of a bike from another unless Sir Kelvin tells you. -

Shocking refereeing again tonight. The only reason he excluded Gollob and not Grumpy was the fact he has already had 3 runs ins with the sulky one. Absolute KARMA in the final though. The comments from the studio too were all biased towards wanting to see the final rounds point tally as close as possible for tv. There was far more contact in the Grump / Pedersen clash than the Gollob/Grump clash, so who was leaning in or putting the bike down or whatever most ? As someone pointed out on tv Grump was going down before he touched Gollobs back wheel. Disgusting decision to exclude Gollob and the only consolation for me was Grumps face on the rostrum. Congratulations Hans Andersen on winning the Italian Grand Prix.
