  1. Does it matter really what the colour of the button is?
  2. Not a bad GP but Gollob thinks he can do no wrong as he has got away with that type of dangerous riding for far to long now. Turning right on AJ was another occasion when a rider could have got very seriously hurt. He is really getting arrogant about what he can get away with, but if he does become world champion with those sort of tactics, it will not be in the true spirit of the sport. Rune Holta marked his card in the final, from being leaned on hard in an ealier heat, so no messing and who can blame him? .
  3. That will not auger well with several posters on this forum. (Well one in particular.. ) Also, with respect I feel that your solution to the problem that I outlined though is well thought out , is just not feasible or commercially viable.
  4. Sorry Mate. Pc To Kc. I thought I was in the wrong thread (don't they all seem to blend, like the GP's themselves ..) and reposted in another thread. Edit: Whilst I am here, I go along with the view that to exclude Nicholls was wrong. He was not pointing left at all and anyone who could not see that Holta did not turn right had sh$t in their eyes. Agreed.
  5. What are the implications if Scott or Chris do not qualify for next years GP's, and they are not invited as wild cards etc what effect will that have on the crowd turnout at Cardiff. Will it make a difference or if so will that not only affect IMG but the general atmosphere as an event in GB?
  6. Maybe she does. Makes a change though for some of the GP riders not to take themselves too seriously. Or is it because they hardly ever want to interview the 'Grey Man' at a GP? Incidentally, it does not matter what 18 riders you include in these GP's. You will always have a first and a last. The last, many will not be happy with. Not one of the best tonight for sure, but some are better than others. Is that not the case with everything in this imperfect world?
  7. Good points Rabbit. Its only a few Speedway Star’s I have read after a few years break and of course, I watched and enjoyed the SWC on TV even though we did not win or qualify. Not too familiar with Lewis as a rider hence me starting the thread.
  8. In an article in the Speedway Star, and according to Trevor Geer, it was a mistake not to include Lewis Bridger in team GB for the SWC. Myself, I am not sure it would have made a big difference with due respect to Lewis. Should he be included in the team manager’s plans for the future of the GB team though? It seems also that Lewis feels that Tai Woffinden should have done better than he did. (Discussion please without personal insults..)
  9. There has been times of course in the past when Australia did not have a team strong enough for test matches they incorporated riders from New Zealand and raced as Australasia . Plus, for team GB frequently Ronnie Moore, Barry Briggs and even Ivan Mauger would turn out in the Union Jack race bib. Ronnie Moore also rode for both Australia and New Zealand.
  10. Why should you feel disappointed? He had just been flung off his bike at quite high speed straight onto his back. It would have taken the wind out of anyone at the very least, and could have resulted in more serious injuries. Congratulations to Denmark. They did seem a complete team in every respect. Also, congratulations to the three other teams too for makng it such an enjoyable speedway meeting. Is it really back to an Elite League match on Monday on Sky? Why? Does he like peas too?
  11. Using my very suspect logic, I would think that as they have already had the benefit of a meeting on the track and as they became strong towards the end of the meeting, I go for Sweden followed by Poland. Sweden Poland Denmark Australia Should be close (hopefully) anyway.
  12. Same with me. I'll always support my country in any sport. I just hope what ever the results our guys show a bit more commitment than they did on Monday at Coventry.
  13. Serve you right young lady for living so close to your favourite team/track.
  14. For what I can see its simply sensible debate Colin, not arguments as such. However: Performance impressive in the practice, means zilch and counts for nothing. Sorry
  15. Exactly. The point that I was trying to make but stated much better than I ever could Rabbit. (Testicular Fortitude )
