  1. Better off using Morris and help develop one of our own assets
  2. he definitely does for Sweden, not sure about the rest of Europe though
  3. But Kerr would only have been paid FTR money this year for KL while theoretically he could've earned more riding for Ipswich while earning same FTR money at Lakeside.
  4. that is correct you could've had someone like Stead in the team. problem being that Garrity was adamant about not being an FTR rider this year and he would've been on many teams list to go into there 1-5 if not in Coventry's
  5. if PK can get dialled in pretty quickly tonight I could see him taking a full quota of rides where available. hopefully it's the PK we had last season compared to the PK we got the previous season after being dropped by Lakeside although I think that was mainly down to machinery. a great second string to have and also a great mind in the pits for the younger riders
  6. the problem with developing younger british riders isn't helped by the system in place. it has nothing to do with Poole or Wolves or Swindon directly. the NL should be where the young riders start careers, not prolong the careers of aging has beens like Tony Atkin. from there they should filter into the PL, perhaps similar to the EDR rules. this is where the problem is that PL teams are stopping the progression of younger riders, not all of them however. the EDR is a good idea in theory but the EL is not a place to develop young riders.
  7. anyone in the Coventry asset base that isn't riding EL at the moment ?
  8. I noticed at Monmore on Monday that he wants to be on the white line all the time. in his second or third ride (one that he won from an outside gate) he couldn't wait to get across onto the inside line coming out of turn 2. if he's not on the inside line he looks lost
  9. I thought the track was giving them a few problems Monday night when there. some of the lines being ridden by the wolves riders were odd at times.
  10. No idea what KK and Coventry have to do with a Wolves vs Kings Lynn thread
  11. Clegg rides Wednesday at Lakeside and Morris rides Thursday at Kings Lynn according to Pete Adams programme notes last night
  12. surely the council of all people if they are behind it will know of a suitable location
  13. until the council are on side it's not looking positive especially if an ACV has been rejected
  14. could say it's a situation all of his own making though. last season when GTR were pushing him to use it more he wouldn't so it's no surprise when they stopped working with him.
  15. hopefully Bech can get some kind of form going at reserve as he's been a massive disappointment so far. Masters has been a lot better than expected. Freddie doing what we wish he'd done last year. JK is proving inconsistent at the moment mainly away from home though. JT and KH doing what is expected if not more.
  16. I think that might be one of the reasons why they didn't want to give him the backing and said he'd have to pay for them. it was mentioned quite a few times last season by Tatum I think that Gerhard wanted him to try them in the GP but he'd always ride his GM but would switch to the GTR for a final race which would usually do better.
  17. has he bought them or is he working with Gerhard since he stopped working with Harris after last season ?
  18. those are the two revolution team members aren't they ? unless I'm wrong. from what I know and having been told a few years ago a GM engine is easier to tune / set up for the track than a Jawa but that the Jawa has a better output but the window for finding that setup is smaller than the GM
  19. getting a rider to commit to riding EL on a Saturday night has been the biggest problem for all of there team building this season and will continue to be.
  20. to be fair if managed / organised properly (a big if where anything Speedway is concerned) could be potential for a team in each league next season at Leicester. Coventry move over for a year or two for Elite League Leicester drop down to Premier League Coventry and Leicester run a National League team combined. would be a good way to bring on riders, some National League riders can double up into the Premier League team and some Premier League riders can double up into the Elite League team
  21. Bech's problem last night anyway is getting out of the starts. in his second ride he was barely 5 metres out of the gate and he's already looking down at his bike. if he's down at reserve as of next week I'd give him a go and see if he can get it sorted and get some confidence. if not I'd ship him out and make a phone call to a club asset at least
  22. Is Lindgren on the Gerhard engines this season ? I'm sure I heard Tatum say he had switched to the GTR engines for this season
  23. so Leicester to return to the PL and keep the Saturday raceday. Coventry move in for a few years and pay rent for a midweek EL team
  24. Picking a starting 7 with the ful quota of double up riders to start the season is probably what is stopping a simple change to the team right now. Who would be dropped from the 7 ?
