Wolves V King's Lynn 1st May 6.00 Pm
dabbsjoe replied to Beowulf's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
when will teams learn not to take a rider on loan from Poole. the average is only going one way -
no idea what this has to do with Wolves 2017
-
Clegg has been decent in the NL, last year in the EL he was protected somewhat by being a draft rider. however in a lot of meetings early on he only ever did his 3 heats with his 4th going to Howarth and Masters when he dropped into number 6. This season he's been shown up that he's not ready for the top league, he's getting beat at a home track he's ridden at for the best part of 4 years. On the track he still doesn't ride the right lines for monmore. He's struggling at Edinburgh as well, is it the man or is it the machinery ? He needs to get himself a place back in the NL and rebuild himself otherwise his future might not be there.

presuming can bring in a rider of an average up to 7.28 with team building still up to 50 points as new averages not out yet ? Douglas has a current championship average of 7.18 was practising after the meeting. Schlein has an average of 7.17

loyalty wins you nothing in this game. I bet the person who wrote that enjoyed celebrating a title win last year
-
well according to Col even though Klindt has stated he didn't want to and had no intention of riding for Wolves this season we should have signed him in the 1-7. and that is why it's constantly bought up by him every 7 or so posts on this topic
-
The issue with Clegg is he looks like he's riding Monmore for the first time. he's ridden there for how many years now ? should at least have the right lines of the track nailed down
-
wouldn't surprise me if he ended up one in 17
-
What average would Schlein be on ?
-
if Klindt gates at reserve he should win races for fun, it's when he doesn't gate is the issue. if he can show his second string form similar to earlier wolves years it makes Poole quite a strong team as will always have 1 strong reserve which also pressures the second string to perform as well during meetings. also don't doubt that MF has contingency plans in place should any rider not be performing
-
the pressure is on the likes of Howarth, Thorsell and Masters now not to have any bad meetings as we'll already be carrying the 2 reserves. Not sure what to expect from Skornicki so will have to wait and see, could be a masterstroke could be a mistake. the reserves are what worry me. Clegg for someone who rode at Monmore for 2 teams last season and has ridden there in previous seasons never looked like he knew the right lines round the track. this needs to improve this season with him as the senior reserve.
-
How do you work that one out ? Manzares the rider that couldn't achieve a high enough average to qualify for a work permit the following season in the Premier League.
-
Klindt has that low average for a reason He was also dropped from previous seasons team and not even thought of for last years team for the same reason
-
saying he wouldn't be in the team because of the average he would come in on. I'm a fan of Wells but I agree with PA and CVS on this, on that average it is a big ask of Ricky as he would basically be a heat leader. if it was for a second string spot I would have him in the team.
-
several tracks don't take almost 3 hours to run a meeting like Cov do however
-
only if he's doing a stretch in prison
-
one thing on the Kylmpakorpi doing 89 races or whatever on one engine with a rev limiter before needing a service. what type of results was he getting with this engine ? it's ok saying his service costs were lower because of it, but was he earning less because of it ? his form for Wolves when I watched him was very inconsistent at best. his results was one of the reasons (and Tai being available) that he was dropped from the team.

E'bourne used to be terrible away from home. Yet at home they were nigh on unbeatable and used to regularly qualify or threaten the play off places. Get a team that is good at home and you'll also keep the crowd numbers up.
-
because it's a nominated race and averages are calculated over programmed rides
-
they've always been important. in the old format you used to have a lot of change in a good team between the reserves and the number 2 position. I think all the playoff teams this season had some changes with a reserve / EDL rider moving into main body of the team for a while.
-
Ellis will have offers from at least 2 clubs in the league in Belle Vue and Leicester. I think after there troubles this year riders will be wary of agreeing deals with them
-
If it's Klindt in the reserve berth then yes. Klindt starting in main body of the team I'd be wary of
-
theres a very good reason why he's not been back over here and probably never will be now
-
what is the reason Watt went ?
-
So Ford says he hasn't heard off most of the team since the play off semi defeat. But has he tried to contact them himself or is he waiting for them to come to him
