  1. is there anywhere to find the results from earlier and breakdown of what rider scored what
  2. you probably know more of the ins and outs than i do due to sponsorship and that.
  3. i was watching the GP on a polish stream and when Adam Skornicki was interviewing Gollob there was a guy there in Monster hat who i believe is in a rock band or something, he also interviewed Gollob and i believe he was present at the announcement for Monster Energy sponsoring Speedway
  4. he'd probably fail the english test that Gizatulin had to pass to get into the country
  5. For me the same applies to Freddie Lindgren as it does for Chris Harris, until they learn to gate better and consistently they'll never achieve anything on the world stage. As for Bjerre i can't really say as i don't go out of my way to watch him but i've seen his performances in the last few seasons in the Elite League Play Offs which weren't great
  6. isn't it only a 4 man team this year
  7. does Greg Hancock still have some business links with Monster other than his sponsorship. wasn't it something to do with he owned part of the company that distributes Monster in Sweden
  8. i can't disagree with anything you've put there. it should be clear for all of us that the problems with Speedway in the UK all lie at the feet of the BSPA. We've seen in the last week that BSI have got themselves a big name sponsor in Monster Energy and from seeing a lot of Monster Energy marketing and promotions over recent years the SGP can only benefit from it.
  9. i was impressed with him last year before his ban, but after finding out why he was banned that clouded every score he'd got all season up to the point of him being found out. also think he needs to prove himself in the polish and swedish leagues first before being given a shot in gp's
  10. given the same amount of time on UK tracks as Holder and Ward have had would give a fairer indication of how good he is. ward wasn't great in his first EL year, he was good but he wasn't spectacular. however last year Ward for me was a stand out while Holder stood still and had the same problems with being worn out around mid to late august that he had year before. Ward has more chance than Holder to be WC i think. Jury is still out on Emil but he certainly has the skills shown so far to be WC he just needs less injuries/accidents
  11. good to see some plans that will hopefully pay off and help develop the future of US speedway riders
  12. Lindgren and Woffinden at Wroclaw apparently for 2012
  13. i'd like to see a rule where to qualify for the GP's riders have to ride in the 3 main leagues in the world. thus raising the profile of themselves and the GP series
  14. For me the current format works best as you'd have over half the field just making up the numbers in a pairs format. the only change i would make to the current format is to bring a pairs style to it. instead of 1 rider from each nation i'd have 2 riders from 2 nations in each race but 4 nations in the meeting. either 4 riders to each team or leave it at 5 but make it so each rider rides with each of his team mates.
  15. i agree and i like nothing more than watching league meetings, but after being brought up watching speedway in the early 90's until present day. but do you not think now that the real art of team riding has almost vanished from speedway. even though riders ride in teams these days they still ride for themselves more than anything
  16. was just about to say this, he knew well before the end of the season that Torun wanted him back in there team for 2012
  17. i think you mentioned the problem and the reason why nobody can see the benefits of money from the GP series like they can in sweden. The BSPA
  18. not forgetting that lovely tweet he put up telling the fans where to go (which got swiftly taken down) after he'd failed in the race off after talking himself up again. the guy might have talent just a shame he doesn't have the brains
  19. If Vaculik is next in line won't this scupper Poole's team building plans for next season if he gets chosen as his average will suddenly become 8.00 ?
