  1. the number 3 in that team would have to be a solid heat leader otherwise I could see another season like this one happening
  2. Freddie will be number 1 next season I think that is pretty obvious.
  3. from what I've been told by someone who was there last night. TW wasn't going to ride, only rode because he wanted Pete Adams with him in GP's TW was going to be dropped and replaced by FL but by the time it almost happened FL was almost a point higher in the averages TW will not be loaned out to any other club in UK, if he rides it's at Wolves nowhere else TW will only ride if it's squad/number 1 share TW described as not a proper number 1 PK was a let down to management they are keen on LB for next year but have to discuss with parent club JT has a ride for next year if he wants it apparently Berntzen (spelling ?) approached club and wanted/wants to ride but club went with LB instead, possible for next year however. Garrity has apparently told them he wants to ride for them but reservations over his attitude. New silencer to be used next year but british league won't be guinea pigs for it again no TW or JT this Friday no TW in the ELRC TW told he was taking on too much no squads or shared number 1's next year they want PP back and the fans do also they won't however have a pole with under 21 commitments again RW was released because they couldn't replace TW potentially an issue with RW and TP for next year that they won't be able to double up (not sure if this is a club thing ot SCB thing however) TW wasn't interested in UK, was only interested in Sweden apparently. that's about all I was told by someone who was there. underlying theme is that they seem very angry with TW and I don't expect to see him ride here for a while now
  4. think one radical suggestion could be ensuring clubs aren't spending way above there mean like a certain club that is no longer in the league has done over the past 2 years. money going out must be less or equal to money coming out is a good place to start maybe. another one is in my opinion the farce that has been riding away at Eastbourne in the elite league where 50% of the time or more the visiting team has there number 1 rider missing if they are riding in GP's. a long term plan which doesn't seem to happen much in speedway would be to sort out the national league, make it a development league to produce / bring through young riders not allow older riders like Tony Atkin to continue. This would then feed into the Premier League where the FTR system would work for Premier League clubs using NL league British riders at reserve. Would also then feed into the EL at some point all being well. One problem we have now is no Birmingham and apparently no Eastbourne from now on leaving us 8 teams in the Elite League. Do they stick with 8 teams (top 4 going into playoffs or top 3 going into playoffs with number 1 seeded straight to final) or do they try to convince 2 teams to step up to the EL
  5. i remember going to Cov on a saturday for Cov vs Wolves (must have been 2000 i think) both with strong teams and a massive crowd at Brandon. Those were the days
  6. well i'm sure he has some space on his cap or polo shirt available for new sponsors for this tournament
  7. think you have to ask what is league racing doing to get these people through their turnstiles.
  8. think it's more the other way round now he was all set to ride on friday as of Wednesday morning, Tai is still riding Friday as he and a few other rider (Freddie included) have a private jet waiting for them after the friday night meetings (believe it is the organisers who are footing the bill) so i don't buy into this maybe he couldn't get a flight there in time, it's fairly obvious that he couldn't be bothered riding friday thus letting his team, team mates and fans down. the same fans who stood in below freezing weather conditions for his testimonial earlier in the year. if i was the management at wolves the least i would do is take the captaincy off him from now on
  9. i don't see how riding on tracks they ride on anyway against riders they ride against already in the leagues will help them. what they need to do is take a team on tour to another country and get experience on tracks that way only problem would be cost
  10. is the issue with Batchelor having to be bought by Swindon because Swindon sold him to Peterborough 2 / 3 years ago after he fell out with Swindon ?
  11. i probably should have looked at the averages for him over past seasons. for me he seems too comfortable in the number 2 role, his scores dropped off a lot when in the number 4 role which has led to Wells when he progressed from reserve having to ride at 4 with hard races
  12. didn't the gp website stream the meetings live last year for those outside of the UK ? maybe it'll just be shown on there this season
  13. i think if Wells can maintain his average this year it will be a success. a lot of his average was gained from riding at reserve. it's Proctor that needs to improve his average this season after 2 years of maintaining otherwise he is the new Travis Mcgowan as mentioned earlier.
  14. whether he is a brit or an aussie he is the only representative of GB in this years series
  15. most of this problem has come from p'boro jumping the gun and signing Sundstrom before the AGM. there is no way in my opinion they would have signed him for 2013 if they already knew about the 2 from 20 rule
  16. for a club that continue to make a loss, it makes less sense that they have apparently paid Fisher more money for him not to ride in the PL
  17. maybe Rick Frost sees that the asset system is about to crumble and is cashing in now before the assets are worthless
  18. you do know Swindon signed Ashley Birks last week don't you ?
  19. is it possible for Swindon to build a team with Morris starting at reserve
  20. isn't that basically the same team that failed miserably this year but with Schlein in it
  21. thing is though Hans (for all the rolling at the gate) is a great captain and a number 1 in an Elite League team. the same can't be said for Harris.
