Who gives a flying wotsit whether there are dots over a name, or if a riders name begins in your world, with a W or L... Most of us are concerned with what happens on the track.. You can't hide under a cloak forever, your obsessive tendencies are beginning to show.. -

Sky Red Button Tonight ... Discuss!
Jacques replied to Phil's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I agree with you that the SGP would be finished without TV. Sky needed to improve the product from the last awful few years. I have no idea if they had any influence in the removal of Mr Olsen?? But, this years GP series, for me, has been fantastic. I don't know how much you've seen of it , but it would be hard to pick out a meeting that failed to deliver in the form of entertainment. For me, it's been brilliant and a breath of fresh air . The new director of Speedway seems to have made a difference, the tracks are producing some fantastic racing... -

Did you have your pudsey bear fleece on Rob...ha ha Such a shame about the feedback from the meeting. The showground is normally A1 track wise, it's top of my list for brilliant racing and getting showered in shale Well done to the Brums... -
I had a look at the standings earlier, I hadn't realised how close it all was..

I love Nicki, if only for his tantrums off track Being serious, we know that he's better than what we've seen this year, I suspect that another mechanic was sacked tonight too I think most of us expected more from Hans, another one that has failed to deliver, like AJ. As for Freddie, I won't write him off yet ..As for the British representation, Bomber is clearly not going to make the cut. But I believe he is taking part in the qualifiers, don't know about Tai. ?? I will stand by what I've always said about the GP process. Qualify and qualify by right.. in the top 8, or win your place from the qualifiers. No Nominations (regardless of your origins) Edit; Whoops, I nearly forgot, well done Bomber! ( just to please my resident stalker)

I didn't get to hear the pundits, but yes, I'd agree with that. It's just a great shame about Sayfutdinov. Love him or hate him, he brings the thrill to a meeting, controversial is his handle. As for Nicki, one of the great characters of International Speedway, it would be a travesty if he wasn't in next year..We'll see won't we. I think we both know what will happen ..

Each to their own Noggin It was a difficult nights viewing for me..13 and 15 yr old nephews who are VERY loud, aren't conducive to good viewing..Luckily, we've got it on record later, so I can hear what was said too Back to the meeting. Mr Gollob showed us he isn't as hard and self assured as he'd like us to believe. He was worried about Sayfutdinov... big time! Edit: the red button viewing was like watching an old tv with no signal... I pay for 2010 HD viewing, not 1950s rubbish .....bah humbug LOL
-
Courtesy of Mr Gollob,.... Nice one Tomasz...!! Tomasz blew his own night with that stupid move !!! I actually would have credited him with more experience and sense before tonight...Idiot move!!! As for the rest, blimey it was a cracker, some seriously hard racing, loved it

You're right, it doesn't show it at all does it ...The Sky website have it on SS1 then interactive from 7 pm though. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,12972,00.html We shall see !!

Jacques replied to Mateusz's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Despite what some have said about him, he was brilliant, he wanted it so much and you could tell. As for the comments about him being a sulk, I would never ever describe Bomber as a sulk . He was immensely disappointed and felt he'd let the team down by fluffing the Joker ride..He didn't let the team down, far from it. If some of the others had scored more points he wouldn't have had to have done it would he? We are open to criticism, quite rightly, but Bomber was a star !! -

I said it tonight. Bomber ( on TV was blaming himself for the failure)..was wrong. It's all about if's and buts, but he didn't get the support ( other riders NOT scoring) for whatever reason tonight. It was the correct team choice for the six, I have no doubts about that. None of the others deserved a slot ( Danny excluded)... -
He he, low blow mate It doesn't matter to me, where I live, or where I might move to. I will always and forever support Team GB. I would never, ever sell out ???

I certainly don't have a problem with it. He chose to ride for a country to further his career and display his talent. What would he achieved in Norway?? He's been part of a World cup winning team and is active at individual (GP) level for Poland. I think he made the right choice myself and good on him -

The Boateng brothers, one played for Germany (where they were both brought up) one decided to play for Ghana ( the heritage of their father) the other for Germany..The decisions were stemmed from their heritage, hardly the same is it...? -

Gutted for Bomber and the boys They rode out of their skins..No citicisms of the riders here. Still really proud of them Well done Polska! -
I think we're all aware that had Crump and Adams been in the team it MAY have been a different story..But you, of all people running a business will know, that you go for the option that gives you a maximum return??? Despite your protestations, I think the Management of Kings Lynn provided a brilliant event

There's no denying that Monmore is a super track Steve, but it just doesn't have the facilities for a meeting like tonight..A crowd of that size , needs more than home straight viewing and more than two ladies toilets, it's bad enough on a normal race night! You missed out Peterborough, one of the best tracks and one of my favourite tracks to visit
