  1. I think its all about maximising the number of folk through the door, gone are the days where people will turn up come what may unfortunately.
  2. If you're getting the same kind of rain that we are in Norfolk then it's too heavy for any speedway today IMO. Just got absolutely drenched on the school run!
  3. I don't know if it makes any difference at all but Lynn always used to use RAF Marham for their weather forecasts rather than a more general met office one, if they still do then perhaps the 'worsening forecast' which they have somehow got spot on was a lot more likely than most thought, you'd expect their weather predictions for quite a specific area to be as state of the art as it gets. I do agree though that waiting until the morning of the meeting would make much more sense than calling off the day before. I'd also say that not flying riders in would make us even more uncompetitive....which leads to a wider argument that perhaps we are in the wrong league.
  4. Maybe it's luck, maybe is genius but the forecast is a lot worse now.
  5. I think he's probably got more brains than people give him credit for and that he knows exactly what he's doing when expressing himself.
  6. I think that's probably the top and bottom of it, a reluctance to run if riders are missing or the weather isn't perfect. And not wanting to spend money flying riders in for a potential rain off.
  7. I think the phrase is 'know better, do better' when it comes to keeping folk in one piece.
  8. I assume he can't double up until he gets a non-assessed average.
  9. If its within the rules to make changes and a club has the finances and the ambition then I don't see the issue personally. The aim of the league is to try and win it after all.
  10. Sheffield's top four are going to score a LOT of points. So Lynn really need to limit Howarth and the two reserves to scraps to stand any chance. Seeing Pickering ride is going to be like seeing an ex girlfriend out with her new fella
  11. I tipped Ipswich for top spot and have seen nothing yet to change my mind.
  12. Forecast for Thursday better than it was earlier.
  13. I'm expecting a defeat, making sure it's a narrow one would be a pretty good outcome in the circumstances. Paddy to get a hatful again
  14. I'd always go with seven riders rather than six if possible and realistic.
  15. Looking at the forecast it seems like a sensible call to save everybody time, effort and money. If the forecast doesn't ring true you'd expect some to moan but based on the information available it'd be daft to fly a load of riders in and out of the UK for a very likely rain off.
  16. Looks like Harris got third to me. It's a load of tosh anyway, it was a draw whatever the result of some artificial sixteenth race.
  17. Glad I amused you My predictions are only ever based on honest opinions but I suspect I've got the Championship table fairly wrong as Berwick, Worky, Edinburgh & Plymouth have all started much better than I thought. Long way to go though.
  18. Well so far my predictions for both these teams is proving to be completely wrong I was expecting a fair bit more from Redcar's younger riders and less from Kemp, Borke & Hume. Long way to go still but Redcar already look like they are entrenched in 'one of those seasons'.
  19. Maybe a bit soon but you look at some of the new riders in the series this year and I'd suggest he has as much potential as some of those. The key is for him to make his mark abroad, ie start making a proper impact in Poland, and qualifying for the SEC would have been a big step forward. But I feel there is plenty more to come from him.
  20. Episode Nine of the Pride of the East podcast with special guest Ty Proctor https://open.spotify.com/episode/6A3KGKcyFqznmSaTfTqaiA?si=NDC5bMF3Tma4qfVEpqhC6A
  21. In an ideal world this will be Brennan's last season in the Championship and he'll start really getting somewhere abroad as well as in the Premiership.
  22. In which case Lynn really haven't got a leg to stand on, and why on earth was the original rained off fixture rearranged for that date?
