You need to get out more. Try going to Glasgow, Workington, Redcar, Oxford or Scunthorpe for example. Broaden your horizons a little.

Can see both sides but you wonder whether he'd be missing meetings for Rybnik.

King’s Lynn 2024 serious team predictions
Bagpuss replied to SamKM91's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I'm assuming this is tongue in cheek, but if he/his Polish club/Lynn all agree to get him back later in the season is that permitted? -

If it came to it I think he would. No bridges were burned. As you say though I'd be amazed if he's not back at Oxford. -

That was my guess on the pod last night, might be a bit closer if Paddy has another good night but more likely to be a wider margin. You never know though. -
King’s Lynn vs Ipswich - Thurs 23rd May

What it suggests to me is that we've been in the wrong league for at least four seasons, we just can't compete at the top level nowadays and are simply making up the numbers. Fifteen years -
King’s Lynn vs Ipswich - Thurs 23rd May
Bagpuss replied to SamKM91's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Well something like that.....looks like I inadvertently opted into a 'trial data' thing on the met office app......have now gone back to the normal settings and it is indeed looking mainly dry for tomorrow! Apologies to all. -

According to the Met Office app there is between 95-60% chance of rain for every single hour in Owlerton between now and tapes up tomorrow night. -

An inch of rain overnight with more falling and showers all afternoon, although a drier outlook tomorrow. Good for gardeners and ducks -
Sheffield vs Ipswich 13th May
Bagpuss replied to Arch Stanton's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Rightly or wrongly I think he wants to come across as the bad boy of British speedway, he obviously cares about the sport and wants more interest, more exposure, more bums on seats and perhaps he thinks being a controversial figure might help achieve that. Perhaps he thinks it's all too sanitised and needs stirring up a bit. In which case it's not just being a gobs hite for the sake of it, it's with an aim. People will dislike him for it but that's the whole point. -
Spotify or Amazon platforms. It's very King's Lynn so might not be to everybody's taste but I think we get a good balance between the three of us. We are ten episodes in and it's being received pretty well.

Not if you listen to the Pride of the East podcast, I've had plenty to say on there.

And Kurtz in heat 15, or were you too busy being a Clever Dick to spot that

Apparently we were the first side to stop BV reaching 50 at home this year in a league match so that's a pretty good effort. Frustrating that Klindt scored below his normal NSS level as we might have got a result.

King’s Lynn vs Ipswich - Thurs 23rd May
Bagpuss replied to SamKM91's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Not sure who would be better than Iversen, Basso, Klindt & Wojdylo having a ride each. Although I'd always go with seven if possible. Think Brennan was the only realistic option. Nicholls is a decent shout too. -
King’s Lynn vs Ipswich - Thurs 23rd May
Bagpuss replied to SamKM91's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Forecast looks poor for Wed and Thurs I wonder if Lynn weren't quick enough with Brennan with only Brum not riding or if Ippo have flexed their financial muscles to secure him as their guest? I think it would be a better spectacle if Lynn had Brennan and Ippo R/R but that's not the Witches problem, they want to win and have got in there first. Likely to be a cricket score and thank the Lord I'm unable to go! -
I think Pickering getting injured in between being booked and appearing rather sums up the season. We have enough riders who go well around BV to keep it respectable but it's going to be a comfortable Aces win.

Just caught up with what Butterfield has recently said.....what an absolute piece of work he is.

Poole Pirates Vs Workington Comets League15/5/24
Bagpuss replied to Shaleshifter's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Poole has always been incredibly difficult for away riders to get dialled into / set up for for some reason. Consequently vert talented riders can turn up there and look like novices, even those who have ridden there before. You can imagine how hard it was for the four debutantes the other night, add in a mechanical nightmare for Cook and 60+ for Poole was no surprise. Home wins will always attract thr crowds, Lynn were dominant at home for eight seasons in the second tier and as a result the racing was usually pretty poor, but more often than not the place was packed.
