  1. I don't think it matters which track(s) he rides on/for, the boy is going to be a superstar.
  2. Wouldn't necessarily if it was in three seperate competitions, the fixtures would be much closer than that. Personally I go to see my team race, not particularly fussed who its against although of course a league of five or six is far from ideal. Two leagues of eight has been mentioned for 2027 and that would be a far better situation.
  3. Out of interest if Workington raced against a team three times would you go to all of them?
  4. I guess the main four probably pick themselves in Lambert, Bewley, Woffy & Brennan but the fifth spot is pretty open. Would be nice to see a youngster like Dan grab it.
  5. A very, very decent Champ team I'd suggest. Difficult to gauge it against others until we see line ups announced. The loss of Fricke is big though.
  6. I hope you are right, he's the next cab off the rank for GB so to see him flourish again in 2026 would be great. Exoect him to be in the SWC team. Its a pity when people just laugh at opinions on here without presenting their own argument as to why they disagree.
  7. I've not said that and it seems he won't be the RS anyway.
  8. I think he would take to the Prem just fine and he offers so much both on and off the track as a signing. And I think he would be there every week unlike Gusts and put in 100% every race unlike Gusts. Basically he would be a much better signing than Gusts on pretty much every measure you could think of.
  9. Assuming the six named are true/accurate then personally I'd rather use two local youngsters with links to the club than Gusts who has a three point average for a reason and was unavailable an awful lot last year. To me the idea of using Cooper and Jody straight from the Young Stars is even more exciting than the arrival of Fricke (again if accurate). Also I'd suggest somebody with a bit more experience at 2 would be better than a new foreign rider assuming the six named have been signed.
  10. Agree with this. I also believe he has family in Australia, perhaps lots of factors have combined and he's decided to change his life and spend more time with relatives.
  11. I believe Ritchings has been actively riding for longer than Wood has he not? Solid if unspectacular reserves to go with a very good top five.
  12. Interesting take, I can honestly say that Tom Brennan has never reminded me of NP in the slightest. I like Brennan, I think he can get better.
  13. Putting your facetiousness to one side for a moment nobody is saying any problems are solved but its factually incorrect for people to say its confirmed to be five teams.
  14. AT LEAST 5 teams is what I'm sure I read. I'll be really surprised if there's not 6 personally.
  15. The four teams all look very good, the difference is that Poole will have two 'cheat codes' at reserve. Oxford and Glasgow just don't/won't compare to Coops & Cairns, and although Redcar's reserve look very good also I don't think they match the others top five wise. Rushen could have the kind of impact on senior speedway that is very rarely seen by sixteen year old.
  16. Howarth averaged considerably more than Cook from a more difficult riding position.
  17. Out of interest what were the crowds like 2011-18 in the second tier?
  18. Certainly not going to 'save the sport' but in my opinion Chase The Ace improves the atmosphere and engages kids at BV, if the right person can be found to don the costume its a quick win for every club. Seems an odd thing to pick on as a negative. In terms of getting more people through the door there are 101 things more important but I think it needs fresh pair of eyes and fresh ideas, certainly I think far more could be done via social media and the general presentation and quailty of the night out could be much better. Whatever moves our sport forwards needs to be something pretty radical IMO.
  19. It works at Belle Vue and I bet all of the 92 (and beyond) have them not to mention T20 cricket and I daresay both rugby codes. So wouldn't be a bad thing if all speedway teams did too.
  20. The 'best way' depends on the club and it's supporters. Drip feeding can have a negative effect if everyone knows the riders identities anyway.
  21. Also if in doubt, go with experience.
  22. He suggested that if they had planned better six months ago that a Champ team would be a Prem team by now. They certainly wouldn't if they read this forum!
