  1. He did ride well.On his first ride he was on the bad end of a 5-1 when Tim Gomez fell and brought out the red flag. After a second restart he was able to beat Buck Blair to start off his maximum. Check out the photo album to see all of 181 photos that are still shots at www.xtremespeedwayaction.com Go to Gumball Ralley
  2. Yeah I am waiting to hear back from him on his traveling adventures. From what I was reading George did himself proud also.We have plenty of those 250 machines over here and they seem to handle the tracks good with riders that are light. The heavier the rider the lower gearing you will need to run to keep the revs up. See you guys soon
  3. I wrote this on another thread but here in the USA we have Jawa 250's.They use the same chassis and carburetion as the 500's they just don't have all the power.Used on the training tracks will work fine. Most of our riders used them here in the USA.Janniro,Fisher,Kerr, all these guys were brought up on these bikes.Jawa also have these bikes made at the factory now. Before they were 350destroked and made in to 250's. The kids use them at the age of about 10-16 lately 15.
  4. Good luck to George at the brighton event. You guys should go over and talk to Chris Kerr after the meeting.I wish I was going tomorrow.
  5. In the USA We have been using the 250's for years. We would get the 350 motors and restoke them to 250's.We also convinced Jawa after dong some exhibition rides for them to build the 250 straight from the factory. I'm not sure about the Newest 250 motor that Jawa has put out but the older ones we used BZ carbs and King mufflers to help with more power. The kids here in the states are able to ride them from the age of ten until their 16th birthday. Ryan Fisher and Billy Janniro rode these motors for many years. In fact Ryan still holds the record in the USA for three consecutuive championships in a row.
  6. Have fun over down under and say hello to Shane from the USA lads.I hope to talk with you soon when you get back.
  7. USA had the under 21 final today and the top three finalist were 1) Skyler Greyson- 13 points 17 years old (WON RUNOFF with Galvin) 2) Dario Galvin - 13 points 17 years old 3) Tim Gomez - 12 points 17 years old Congradulations to those three individuals. Full results coming soon.
  8. I am very proud of all the riders that have been trying to ride with our New League. Chris has excelled in more ways than just riding. His commitment on driving to the events (7 hours) shows how much he is into the racing.
  9. There will be pictures posted in a few days. When they are available I will post the address.
  10. To check out some free video clipsand interviews of USA vs the world check out www.xtremespeedwayaction.com . Put the addy in your browser.
  11. Didn't see American rider Billy Janniro signed on a team. is he not riding in the Sweedish leagues.
  12. We are currently working on a plan to bring a UK Team over to the USA in early 2006 to stay for about four to six weeks and do a mini series with the possibility of the final race on a live webcast. Will give more info when we have it.
  13. Well it was Kerr who was no doubt one of the shinning stars from the tour.So thats understandable. I'm sure the fairies remember Tim Gomez asthey have pictures of him.
  14. Speedwayguy, You really don't get it do you. We are not trying to re invent the wheel here. We are very much aware of the past and the tries. We also know that people told us we couldn't go 5,000 miles across the world to race against Conference league teams in March or April and you know what we did it with one rainoff. We are trying to teach the younger riders, that are possibly hoping to someday get the dream of racing in the UK on a Team how to do it. Why are you so much against what we are doing.Whewre does it say in any of our post that we are trying to get rid of the older riders.
  15. Yes Andy they were. Chris Kerr,Tim Gomez,Bryan Starr,Neil Facchini,DaleFacchini. Shaun Harmatiuck is also going to join the line up to replace John Defries. All these riders were on the USA DreamTeam.
  16. Well actually a couple of the top West Coast guys are Supporting this event. One of them is also the East Coast Champion who won the recent US open series in New York. Shaun McConnell(Victorville Vikings Manager) understands the importance of bringing in new talent and working with these guys helps make it a safer enviroment for him to ride in. The other top West Coast rider is Charlie Venegas. Venegas is Team Manager for the O.C. Eagles.
  17. Courtesy of TMG Racing : Actually the report was Courtesy of Ryan Evans who wrote this awesome report. I just forwarded the report.
  18. Oh come on lora. Let her come out and have some fun with us this year.
  19. As stated in a earlier post we are not bringing all the best riders to ride with the Dream Team if we were we wouldnt be able to ride against conference league Teams.
  20. Please check out the Speedway Yellow Pages if you get the chance and look at the USA thread in the International section. We struggle to find the best links and need some guidance on USA speedway. any help would be really appreciated. cheers ST <{POST_SNAPBACK}> SwineTown I believe that you will find the link you have for Speedwaybikes.com to be very usefull.I know as far as updated info that Ryan and Gary stay pretty much on top of it. I will also give you the link when we are done making a site that will update everyone on the Young American Team progress
  21. Whats up Swine Town I am American and I post on this Forum.
  22. I hear the mention of Conner Penhall he is 12yrs old but there is also Ryan Penhall that is 16yrs old. Both of the Penhall boys are heavilly into motorcross. They are contracted through the Kawasaki Team green to ride motorcross a few times a week not leaving much time for Speedway. There is a Video tape available of the USA first under 21 where you can see Conner Penhall in action. Also some great footage of Bruce's crash while riding against Scotty Brant in a match race. Conner Penhall is featured on the cover of MOTO X KIDS Magazine.this magazine features a 5 page article on 85cc Speedway bikes with Robin frames. There are pictures of young Conner sliding it sideways on his 85cc Speedway bike. These bikes were new to Ca Speedway in 2003.For more info on this magazine go to www.motoxkids.com
  23. Well I've been sitting here reading all the messages about Bruce Penhall's looks and how he's aged and so on and on. Well if I had his looks and his ability to ride I would be one happy camper. I had the privelage to watch Bruce ride some practice laps in the USA just before his appearance in a match race against American Champion Scotty Brant in November. It had been 7yrs since Bruce had even thought about riding a Speedway bike. I was impressed on how well he was able to control the new laydown models compared to the Weslakes,Jawas he used to ride.Anywas when he rode the match race he was very fast and impressed the fans of his ability to still ride a Speedway bike with the best of them. Bye the way that's the first time I've seen a picture of Bruce in a long time without Sunglasses on.Bruce You still Rock bud !!!!!!!
  24. Andy thanks for the pictures they are real cool.
