  1. I think rob is just looking out for the friendly photographer not being stingy with the floodlights!!!
  2. Yes lots of people did after me!!! and after the fact rob liked the post I put up which gave a big clue!! I think matt will do well he is improving all the time and like rob says he reminds me of R Worrall how he started. at first he was a bit too aggressive going into bends and overcooking it but now seems much more controlled and the improvements are showing. If Ryan continues where he left off as well that will take a lot of pressure off matt to allow him to learn rather than be relied upon for points straight away
  3. So looks like my team was correct several pages ago!!!! I like the look of this team and if all riders hit potential should be very strong at home and trouble most teams away
  4. Think rob will want to steer clear of 3pt riders who are already doing nl and el. A lot of commitment to machinery and travel doing all 3 which will probably be too much. Will be a rider doing just the 2 leagues which will help for fixture clashes and work/education which some of the younger riders struggle with.
  5. Nope it hasnt as no-one on here has got the number 7 correct extra clue in paper is that one of the final riders will be a new assett which i believe will be number 7 and will be a 3pt rider (everyone else has greenwood who it wont be and is already an assett) My predicted team 1. Mellgren 2. Birks (all but confirmed as only rider who fits between our number 1 and 3`s averages who is left) 3. Auty 4. 5. 6. Douglas 7. 3pt rider i would guess as either danny phillips or Matt williamson That leaves 4 and 5 and around 12.6pts to play with. that leave tommy gun and a rejuvinated david howe I think this will be a very strong team and although no one rider is classed as an out and out number 1 you have your lowest second string over a 6pt average and all of teh top 5 can push to be number 1 Then at reserve ryan can add several point to his average if he continues like the second half of the season and that leaves the pressure off whoever in number 7 like the idea was last year with josh bates but didnt quite work out with ryan initially struggling. I think this team is well designed to pickup away points while still being comfortable around the EWR.
  6. Masters has a higher average than mellgren so can't be
  7. So I was right!! and by my calculations makes our number 2 either Ash or ludvig lindgren as they are the only 2 riders with average between 7.33 and 7.24 that I can find
  8. A lot of mention of master plan which might be a clue that it is
  9. Could be mellgren as well as he guested in playoff final
  10. He didn't hit the fence not that that stops people blaming it. The important thing at the moment is rickys recovery inquests can happen later
  11. If I remember correctly an assessed rider gets a new average after 3 home and away but cannot be replaced till after 6 home and away
  12. Well its been announced where one of the saints has gone next year anyone surprised where it was!!!! Mind you im sure we will be told it was a rush signing after clubs were told the saints were not running but just so happens to be thier first announced signing!! I hope rob is charging full loan fees this year i know he did them free/cheap originally to help get the riders more racing especially when doubling up but now its a different ball game. And then if he pools the loan fees together can save it up for the next genereation of saints when we come back
  13. Looks like i wasnt far out just Instead of Tom we have Ryan douglas. Im happy with the team effectively we have just Swapped ryan for Nick but think we will be stronger with David and Thomas fit than with guests and RR so roll on march!!
  14. Another attempt now riders have started being announced by other teams. With rob saying he wants to keep the core with maybe only 1 or 2 changes Team 1 Howe Auty Birks Toft Jorgensen Irving Armstrong 42.20 (unlike some i think Tom could be a good rider depending on how he does down under this winter) This team only has 1 change but is reliant on tom getting back to full mental fitness Team 2 Auty Howe Toft Birks Jorgensen Nielsen Skidmore 42.33 If stefan can make the step up and get near garys 4pt average then its basically the same team but Skid for Morris. I think Skid can up his average as he seemed to have a lot of mechanical issues early in the season and always give 100% and know he can ride EWR well.
  15. I have David and josh then the 3 point reserve as british riders. Thomas and tofty are our lads anyway so brits our not so I'm sure you would still support them
  16. Second attempt at a team Josh Auty 8.09 David Howe 7.89 Mikkel Michelsen 7.00/Jonas B andersen 7.00/Sam masters 7.43 Thomas Jorgensen 6.42 Michael Palm Toft 5.21 Tom Young/Stefan Nielsen/Adam Ellis 3.0 That leaves the final place at 4.89 if one of the 7pt riders or 4.46 if masters 4.89 allows wilko 4.66 or Tabaka 4.75(if edinburgh dont run) 4.46 allows Heeps 4.40 Now explanations I know i dont have Ash in the team but i have a feeling he might be at sheffield again next season and he will always want to ride there being his home town club I have adam ellis in the list as possibly we could do a swap loan deal with lakeside so we still have richie as and assest but we offset loan costs Cameron heeps again could be similar with swap loan deals if stefan rides for Ipswich next season The number 3 spot could be the critical one. Michelsen would probably meet his average straight away potentially giving 4 heat leaders. Jonas B andersen would probably follow a similar pattern to thomas and would be an investement for the future. Masters would instantly give us the 4 heatleaders
  17. It may not get like that in half an hour but could be taken beyond useable point. The track drains and dries out very quick Upto a certain point. It was sunny here this morning and was only due light rain which would have been fine but it came heavier and longer than it was due to
  18. Maybe for next year an emergency set of rules should be drawn up stating what will happen. Although that could be open to abuse with effort to get meetings done. Also I can understand the cup finals bring left till end but why the semis still they should be done earlier on before a date like end of August so there are not as many left till end of season
  19. Are they allowed to run on sundays some tracks do have restrictions. If not then yes they should have
  20. If there are no legs run down to a coin toss like elite league cup!!! What a way to become champion!! Double headed coin anyone:-P Are you suggesting the bspa just put us through at random then made an excuse to fit. Would they!!!!!!!
  21. Ok. My point is not valid then:-) Everyone bring tents then as we will try rerunning every day when it doesn't rain until then:-P That's where we are lucky with being able to race any night
  22. Point is rules were known so we got through on merit. You have not been cheated you are clinging on to speculation of something that may of happened but didn't and acting like it was a certainty. If we lose on Friday then the second leg gets rained off (assume no replay date as Sunday is last day of season isn't it) then I expect Somerset to be given the title. Maybe next year we should bring in a cricket rule and have automatic 2 points each for a rain off. World stop all this hassle at end of season
  23. Seems noone read the statement the same as me. Scunny went through because the Edinburgh meetings were removed and a beat Workington on aggregate over the two meetings. It must have been known this could happen all along as it was mentioned several times at scunny aggregates could come into it. Therefore Workington have themselves to blame. If you had won on aggregate over the two you would be through and I would have had no complaints
