Mildenhall V Stoke - National League - 5/8/12
montie replied to PhilK's topic in National League Speedway
So hes a talented lad, riding well,in good form, when is the right time to step up?????, He has done 100% the correct thing by doing PL,its called ambition, you should be gratefull that he rides when ever he can for the tigers and wish him well in the next stage of his career, its exactly what the NL is for,not sit there moaning that he is missing your fixtures and he is captain, you never know he may captain the Leicester team in a couple of years,i hope he does Quit the maoning and be proud that your team has hopefully sent another young Brit on to bigger and better things,Stefan Nilsen should be next i hope,he deserves it -

Jesus christ, dont you want young Brits like Lweis to progress, Lewis has quite rightly stepped up to the Pl and there where he should be riding at this stage, good luck to him,Mildenhall need to get used to it,it what we need to happen more often in the NL-----Riders improving and stepping up What utter crap!! -
As in riders hover so long at reserve and that a rider like Tom Perrys, due to his success[pl team place] has missed fixtures, 6 home and 6 away is to much for an 8 team league It happened with Jerran Hart a few years ago,i even think Gary Irving had a match at reserve last year.Madness i want to see the quality riders step up the NL as quick as possible
-
Biggest joke now in this league is whos at reserve, been same for a few years and something needs to be done about it Perry now at reserve for Dudley,Reade still at reserve for Stoke yet 15yr old Max Clegg steps into main body of his team Another example of how me make it to easy for what decent young talent we have yet make it hard for even younger names in the sport like Max Clegg and Ross Walter and now the two youngsters at Dudley

They paid per point so i guess James wont be owed much!!!
-
Scunny had them beaten until 2 x engine blows in heat 15

If you asked half of the promotions in the league they will tell you its a development league, there more rookie in the league this year than recent one which points towards development The thing is that British disease of stepping down rather than stepping up,which was installed in many by Guardian reading liberal ** during the late 90`s is evident in the NL, The better riders in the NL need to be in the PL and maybe the EL,Not scoring huge points in the NL,sunday was a classic example, the highly rated Lewis Blackbird has stepped up in the PL[well done],first chane he has hes back in the NL pairs on his home track!!! is that doing him any good???
-
is he being paid???..
-
When you read the article someone should remind him he has had six home meetings, and only 3 away to pay for,so id imagine hes quite lucky, when you look at some teams they have had more away than home which must be a real killer to finance I wonder if the riders no they have agreed to a pay cut!!!!
-
Averages an most of your post have something in common then
-
You generous folk of Edinburgh will have to have a whip round!!
-

Stoke Sign Lambert (that's Simon, Not Robert!)
montie replied to vog's topic in National League Speedway
But to be fair he had done nothing all season so giving another 3 pointer a go was no drama really, they had nothing to loose -

Utter rubbish,Tony A wont make a rats ass of difference to Ash Birks,Ashley has two things going for him,Huge Talent and sheer determination,as to Simon Lambert back in the NL,my view is its a joke, Simon is way to good for this league and should have sat back at waited for a PL spot instead of wearing his engines out scoring max after max in what is a weaker NL -
