  1. I cant help thinking, with my finance head on,bit of bum draw Newcastle picking Leicester first, did the Leicester promotion a bad turn as more Scunny fans will go to BP than Newcastle, more Lecis fans will go to scunny, more Newcastle fans will go to Armadale than Scunny, same with Worky, Newcastle and somerset now have to run double headers which at Pl level are financial suicide i think Interesting time ahead either way, looking forward to it
  2. They took them down as they were covered in shale and looked the same as the track,to help the rider they removed them to reveal the clear wire fence behind them
  3. Hope the get on with it today at Sheff, try and fire the meeting through as quick as they can, weather could be a bit iffy from about 7ish so stuff the parade and interval
  4. No doubt both teams will pick the furthest away meeting for them then moan that they lost a fortune and crowds were shy te!!!!!!
  5. Does any one no why Len didnt try and run this earlier in the week to get into the play offs???
  6. Well done Newcastle on finishing top of the league, done us by a point but fair play think over the 24 meetings they just deserved it,even with big home track advantage !! Play offs look wide open but,Newcastle look to be in the box seat to me
  7. Well my new found niceness isnt brought on by white socks and blue bingo callers jacket Mikey, that is a fact
  8. Surely Newcastle will pick Edinburgh first wont they after thumping them last weekend,Edinburgh will bring alot of fans with them down to Brough park im sure that will help the finances
  9. Fair point but is there any reason why Rye House didnt run on Monday,Tuesday or last night against Stoke?? you could argue that everyone new the Playoff cut off date was last night yet they had 4 nights since Saturday to do the Stoke fixture?? Has anyone from the Rye NL team asked this to Len?? Or is it a case, like i fear, that he,along with others blow there balls of with NL and he doesnt want anymore fixtures???
  10. Let hope the riders really put on show for the new owners on Friday, ride for your team places, ride like your life depends on it,go lads!!!!!!beat them Diamonds please......
  11. Got to feel for Rye House,i reckon they would have beaton Stoke on saturday but hey ho,Morrish and Dudley wanted Stoke at Home this tuesday so he wasnt going to extend it any longer
  12. Id love to see Richie Worrall at Lynn, just the kind of track he needs to be at at this stage, big, fast and grippy, will be the making of him i think
  13. Edinburgh didnt do any track work did they?? yet they said somewhere in the region of 30k i think also??
  14. Dont think you can call the NL professional can you??
  15. I bet most promotions in the league, with 2 x semi finals and playoffs to finance would tell you to get stuffed!!! sorry state when success causes the owners to blow there balls off finance wise Mid table finishes seem to enable future speedway, success puts your club in doubt
  16. I would imagine that he is not alone in this position either Hope they can keep it going
  17. I dont think its an obsession S.K,now, id call it a right laugh!!
  18. Not at all, look at last year,Scunny crippled by riders success [PL Places],sneaked into play offs, full team out for the play offs and the rest is history[and there aint any exams in Otober ]
  19. They should run that one on saturday and have cut of date the same as the PL,
  20. so first you say they arnt fair then complain the the cut off date needs extending to get Rye House in them?? Thought you wanted more rides and meetings for young British riders???? Team of young brits like the rockets,a team you have complained about, written off completely are now in the play offs and on form could shock anyone, brilliant!!!!
  21. Not at all,in the NL you dont always have the riders available to ride, work,Prem league and even schools exams, the play offs give everyone a chance to make it and keep the season alive, especially when you have such a wide range of clubs like we do in the NL, Take the play off final last year in the NL,the two legs produced fantasic racing, down to the wire drama and good crowds, why loose that from a sport which can be failry dull at times Without the play offs, this years NL was over by June, yet with them, now Mildenhall are in the box seat i think and this week Rye had something important to race for home and away,,great stuff
