montie replied to EC Rides Again's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway

Yes i agree its a perk of the job but its a wonder the other promotions dont kick off the there money is being spent on Vatcher etc travelling around picking up talent the use for the own clubs, -

Isnt it a conflict of interest that Vatcher is in charge of the GB youngsters etc,on expenses, yet can sign these lads as assets for Lakeside?? -

I was stood on the first bend Tina. you honestly think Josh jumped ship when he was going in a straight line for the corner with Robbe close to him and send his bike crashing down the track?? i know you come out with some utter beaulocks at times but that takes the biscuit!!! -

As a meeting i thought it was quite good, when you have got top riders around there making starts is vital and if they get the noses in front will always take some catching, so to say crap track and gate and go etc is a bit unfair Well done to C.C on his will ,a deserved winner Hope all the injured lads are on the mend and best wishes for there recoverys Had to feel for Richard Hall ,EF i think cost him a place in the semi,he was great entertainment in all his races, never gives up some nice passes by Auty and Seb Alden to, James Greives was a joke tho, quite clear he didnt want to be there at all and if that the case for christ sake give his place to someone that does Lastly, the two awful looking ladys from the north west who continued to hurl abuse at Auty, even when injured, please stay in the Kennel next year -
Mildenhall V Dudley - Ko Cup Final 1st Leg - Sunday 7th October
montie replied to PhilK's topic in National League Speedway
Just because they seek clarification doesnt mean they knew the rules were being broken, maybe as you say they we seeking clarification?? -
You have to respect him for what he has said, the promotion now need to stick together in the Pl and work together to find a solution between them, none of the usual back stabbing that continues to go on within the higher level of the sport

Mildenhall V Dudley - Ko Cup Final 1st Leg - Sunday 7th October
montie replied to PhilK's topic in National League Speedway
[quote name='norwichkev' timestamp='1349875697' post='2193 Also: “It has been brought to our attention that Mildenhall were informed, in writing, by the British Speedway Promoters’ Association that Josh Bates could not be brought back into the side If it is the case, and somehow i doubt, that the BSPA have informed Mildenhall that Josh Bates,a 16 year old british rider, returning from a nasty injury, cant ride then someone at the BSPA needs hanging up by there balls as im sure that is what the NL is about -
The Heathens V Stoke Po Semi Final 1st Leg
montie replied to greyhoundp's topic in National League Speedway
There are may arguments in favour of the play offs, not just cash wise, they create excitement and drama, something lacking in speedway most of the time, take this evening meetings, you take a one point lead to Stoke, its close, you chaps have nothing to loose it will be a cracker Take EL for example,2 top teams going head to head, the PL panning out nicely for some great meetings, last years NL final, has there been a better finish to a league ever??,great racing and pure drama in the second leg, Coventry /Poole the other year was brilliant speedway The Gps,top top rider on the night doesnt always win the GP but the semis and grand final produce quite brilliant speedway The heathens have everything still to race for against Stoke and there will be another twist, and if im honest i fancy them to just pip Stoke -
Thats a good idea but it could leave the team who finish to doing nothing for about a month

The Heathens V Stoke Po Semi Final 1st Leg
montie replied to greyhoundp's topic in National League Speedway
And set up perfect for the 2nd leg,,,, could be a great night,,,and folk say there is no place for the play off,,,,,,,,this could be so good -
How do you no the championship will go to a team that are full strength?
-
Is it right or fair that away team have to ride Rough park every week.........
-
Well what did you expect when you picked the two furthest away teams, when Newcastle picked Leciester and Somerset they cocked the financial [be it small ] wind fall up
-
Its a problem when the other side on the play off group will be done and dusted by the weekend,Worky got Edinburgh this weekend also,Yet Edinburgh race against Ipo,why not swap Ipo and Worky around, then weather permitting, play offs are decided by Saturday night, which i guess the finals could be run on the weekend of the 19th now the play off finals are looking at being the weekend of the 26th of the month, which is last weekend of season i think
-
Biggest cock up out of all this is now a two week wait until Worky go the Edinburgh, while Ipswich are at Edinburgh this week in a micky mouse cup,im sure the play offs should take priority and fill in later with these other cups and stuff, that would enable the finals to take place following week end
-
Always someone from Worky moaning about someone being dangerous,Richie,Josh even read on the updates on sat that Hall is dangerous on saturday If you saw the quite fantastic Rene Bach last night ,oh yes he was dangerous, but eff me i pay to watch that kid every week Heat 5 Sat night,Tero takes a sneaky look and rides MPT to the fence, what do you think to that???
-
If im honest i had an awfull feeling all day that Worky would do something tonight, couldnt have been further from the truth,a fine team like the comets have shouldnt have been smoked by 34 points,ex home riders like Tero Morris and Howarth, plus two tac rides, should have kept this close Oh,and take a bow Scunny, all did really well but MPT in that form around the EWR,well no one would have beaten him if we were still racing now That track had 88 races on it today which really is quite outstanding,i was there since around 12pm today and everything from a paid full house for MPT to seeing the 3 tots on pee wee 50`s ealier was just class, Lastly, i hope Lee Dickens young lad feeling as well a could be expected after what i heard was a broken leg earlier in the day,get well soon young man
