  1. See hes in the AM meeting at Scunny on Saturday if any of you tigers ladies want to pop along for a sneaky look....
  2. And were you meant to keep sending Tom out when cleary he wasnt fit???and i think Tero was the one who was replaced by Morris,Irving came in for Armstrong[thanks Worky!]
  3. A north south split would be ok if you were in the Northern group and bad if you were in the south one e.g Newcastles average travel would be about 90 miles where as say Scunny would be about 150miles Add in have to race each other twice i guess to make up the fixtures,it all gets a bit boring.....
  4. Wait till you see Scunnys new reserve..........
  5. Seen him a few time this summer in the AM meetings at Scunny, looks a tidy rider but did nt seem to have anything much more to offer than some of the other riders on the day to be honest
  6. Can the PL, after a season it just had afford 3 top riders in one team??
  7. Have Ipswich got money kicking around to sign assets??? thought earlier in season they were selling to balance the books?? I would think like all clubs this winter, money will be kept in hand!!!
  8. Tom needs to be out the NL now,get in the EL with Wolves, along with a few more!!
  9. And i hope they do just that as i feel its good for Scunny to have our nearest rivals up there at the top,if both Scunny and the Tigers are close to the top, means fans travel to both race tracks, away fans are lacking in Speedway, this year Scunnys coffers im sure suffered because Sheff were s h y t e,!
  10. Not exactly, entertaining your home fans is just and important and first base is winning at home
  11. 1. your teams top rider?........ Thomas Jorgensen, times he won ht1 away from home was brilliant 2. your teams most improved rider?....... Ash Birks 3. best match witnessed?....... Ipswich away and smoking Workington at home in the play offs with half a team 4. worst match witnessed?........ Newcastle away,[first time] save for a Howe full house its was shocking 5. did your team do better or worse than expected?....... As expected 6. best fans to visit your track? ..........Berwick or Sheffield 7. best track( other than your own team)......... Sheffield, even if its gate and go there is something great about watching riders hang off turn 4 for the home straight 8. worst points of the season?...... Rico leaving us and my GPS simply refusing to find Rough Park despite gong there a few times before
  12. Quite how you can blame the play offs for spoiling a family sport when there were so many familys there on Monday night is beyond me,you come across as a bitter and twisted old fool if im honest, not just on here but in your favourite "general discusions",pulling everyone and everything down and to bits you miserable old git---CHEER UP FOR EFFS SAKE Newcastle won the qualifaction table by a point, picked who they thought were the best to teams to beat, and got beaten,Scunny didnt and Won!!!!
  13. Speedway needs more rider like Hall, after all its the entertainment business and he is just that
  14. Yes im sure they will have, but i have watched Richie from his first rides on speedway and has never done anything but impress me,such a nice kid to,as his is bro,I dont really care where he goes to be honest and i will watch him with huge interest,i just think a track like the superb NA will be the making of him, He has got something about him as a rider, fantastic gater,i would just love to see him on a out and out racers track, plus its not far for me to come and watch him!!!!
  15. I wish the Stars would try and sign Richie Worrall,i really rate Richie as a hell of a prospect and feel he needs a track like the NA at this stage, big ,fast and grippy,i really think he would benefit of a season there and could be the making of him
  16. Dont think it ws about loosing his team place to be honest,im sure he said something on the MIC at scunny about non release of his work permit so he could sign for a PL team,or something like that, something about his sponsors also,i cant remember what though
  17. One think for sure mate YOU didnt!!!!!!! pop along and see Gaz Irving,he took a winner medal to Workington......
  18. Moral high ground with a track like that!!!!
  19. Drama to the last bend of the last race, cant ask for better finish really,Two good teams on the best two race tracks in the Uk over two legs was always going to be a tight one,and so it proved Fair play to the Rebels for running it so close, and nice to see each and everyone of them interviewed before the prize giving, was interesting to hear from them all Really well done to Scunny,NL champs last year and PL champs this year, good time for the club and all involved If anyone had seen the track at 3pm yesterday after yet another unforecast downpour, its hard to believe this meeting went ahead, let alone produce so racing,as the riders arrived it still looked bad and many seemed to this it was a waste of time, but by tapes up they had a first class surface Great to see TT legend John Mcguinnes there to hand out the trophy to,great bloke with real interest in Speedway
  20. Wrong,Newcastle topped a qualification table,!!!!! And a league winners medal went to Workington....... Gary Irving took it there
  21. Maybe 2.25 points below Doyle, but a genuine track specialist, and do not forget he blew up two engines last night Giving Hall some stick is simply unfair,on 3 occasions last night in heat 15 he nearly got through into 3rd,anf off the dead gate 3 someone had to mke a pass,he was the man for heat15
  22. No,that is progress, and its what is needed,my point was being at the start of the year, and its a good point you make about setting plans for 2014,my fear is that if you dont act now, there wont be a 2013,never mind 2014 The other thing is the rules in the NL need some assistance from the PL teams that we would hope the NL feed anyway, by using some of these lads at teh Top end of the NL, some local lads would be nice also in Local PL teams
  23. First the doubling down to to be fixed, max of i DU rider from the PL,and then if they are in there second year of PL they shouldnt be in the NL, Points limit of 38 max, Prevent like like of Garrity etc joining the league half way through, its no good all this encouragement of riders to step down, New league co-ordinator NL rider championship is NL riders only,if less clubs in the league maybe look at this running over four rounds at stand alone clubs?? Firm dates on the cuts off at start of season forget the NL trophy, Encourage the NL riders to ride in every bloody AM meeting there is!!!
