  1. Im not sure the NL is coming more competitive,it seems that there`s two teams in the NL who are streets a head of the rest, and again i fully expect them to battle it out in 2013,last year you had Stoke,Mildenhall,Belle Vue and Scunny, all went in the playoffs with a chance, The NL was mostly made up of teams with development in mind, now it seems to be a playground for PL teams that have had to drop down and Dudley who are using it to a springboard to better things,[which after not applying for PL this time could be questioned] Is there a link between the change in the make up of the NL and the drop is standard of british rider??? could be... time will tell i guess No Scunny in 3rd tier racing is bad news full stop, and my biggest fear is if the NL continues down the path its on now,you may see other clubs fall by the way side,Will Rye run a NL team this year from there home base?? will Buxton run?? who knows, but times are s h y t e for rider development thats for sure,as the development leagues are no replacement fro the NL.
  2. Newport,Belle Vue and now Scunthorpe seems to be a worrying trend here for development teams,a major blow to NL speedway for Northern based riders too Makes you wonder what the future for the NL is long term ,the trend of development clubs closing is something that needs to be addressed and done so quickly Interesting to read that most of the Saints had been spoken to or "tapped" as the saying goes, not the first time this has happened either, well now you fools have have done this have lost 2 x meeting for your clubs
  3. Full Statement on Scunnys homepage http://www.scunthorpespeedway.com/news.php?subaction=showfull&id=1353573250&archive=&start_from=&ucat=7&

  8. Depend i think how is audition for next years x-factor goes
  9. They way the job is,i wonder if the PL can afford to pay any more than 55 point,im sure we would all like to see riders earning 100`s of pounds a point, but you cant give what you aint got i guess
  10. See hes in the AM meeting at Scunny on Saturday if any of you tigers ladies want to pop along for a sneaky look....
  11. And were you meant to keep sending Tom out when cleary he wasnt fit???and i think Tero was the one who was replaced by Morris,Irving came in for Armstrong[thanks Worky!]
  12. A north south split would be ok if you were in the Northern group and bad if you were in the south one e.g Newcastles average travel would be about 90 miles where as say Scunny would be about 150miles Add in have to race each other twice i guess to make up the fixtures,it all gets a bit boring.....
  13. Wait till you see Scunnys new reserve..........
  14. Seen him a few time this summer in the AM meetings at Scunny, looks a tidy rider but did nt seem to have anything much more to offer than some of the other riders on the day to be honest
  15. Can the PL, after a season it just had afford 3 top riders in one team??
  16. Have Ipswich got money kicking around to sign assets??? thought earlier in season they were selling to balance the books?? I would think like all clubs this winter, money will be kept in hand!!!
  17. Tom needs to be out the NL now,get in the EL with Wolves, along with a few more!!
  18. And i hope they do just that as i feel its good for Scunny to have our nearest rivals up there at the top,if both Scunny and the Tigers are close to the top, means fans travel to both race tracks, away fans are lacking in Speedway, this year Scunnys coffers im sure suffered because Sheff were s h y t e,!
  19. Not exactly, entertaining your home fans is just and important and first base is winning at home
  20. 1. your teams top rider?........ Thomas Jorgensen, times he won ht1 away from home was brilliant 2. your teams most improved rider?....... Ash Birks 3. best match witnessed?....... As expected 6. best fans to visit your track? ..........Berwick or Sheffield 7. best track( other than your own team)......... Sheffield, even if its gate and go there is something great about watching riders hang off turn 4 for the home straight 8. worst points of the season?...... Rico leaving us and my GPS simply refusing to find Rough Park despite gong there a few times before
  21. Quite how you can blame the play offs for spoiling a family sport when there were so many familys there on Monday night is beyond me,you come across as a bitter and twisted old fool if im honest, not just on here but in your favourite "general discusions",pulling everyone and everything down and to bits you miserable old git---CHEER UP FOR EFFS SAKE Newcastle won the qualifaction table by a point, picked who they thought were the best to teams to beat, and got beaten,Scunny didnt and Won!!!!
  22. Speedway needs more rider like Hall, after all its the entertainment business and he is just that
