  1. as i see it it is totally impossible to do away with double upers or even limit them as there simply isnt enough riders who can commit t Uk racing, and sadly,a cronic shortage of Brits coming through and to be quite honest,i quite enjoyed the Lynn meeting this week due to the amount of riders i support doubling up,so it does have a slight up side to
  2. Maybe re phrase your title as surely it is the MC or BSPA not Buster personnally who is doing this and for the record,100% right thing to do,
  3. and rightly so we can all give the BSPA some stick and at times, deserved,,,but Chapman its totally correct here,The panthers promotion has sold British speedway down the river in this case Clubs cant re-arrange fixtures with them becuase `` we dont have Holder``.........yet when a bit a .... is available...different story Sad thing about this is the promotion lack of respect for the panthers faithfull, reading the statement, they could have made Holder rider today, but chose to take somthing in return i feel for the Panthers fans,i hope today they will show their promotion what they really think
  4. If you read the rule book you could argue that with the 4s being a BSPA meeting,if Rathbone actually had the right to allow him to ride in Poland its quite sad that Holder, who has being supported by the Boro faithfull all season then turns his back on them at what is home event, i hope the Panthers fans stand up en mass at the next home meeting and turn their backs to the track as he arrives at the tapes-----just like he has done to them now if nothing is done by the authorities ,which im not sure if they can,its up to the paying public to make a stand
  5. I`ve always tried to support these ```shared`` events as it benefits British Spreedway, but when a particpating club is prepared to take a bung and de-valve the event ,not to mention shafting his own loyal paying fans, well they can stick it,ill stop home and keep my money The BSPA should fine Rathbone for taking the bung and Holder banned for 28days
  6. yes you are totally correct, what i meant was he was part of a team, along with Holder, who the supporters of Lynn has paid to watch, in other other words, the rest of the team manged to ride....
  7. with regards to the Batchelor case,if i didnt go to work one day as was sick, and the next day i was working for a few extra quid for someone else,id get fired once Batch did the guest booking the following noght the writing was on the wall, and was nothing short of a piss take to the Lynn fans who had paid to watch him that night
  8. well done Buster,i have nothing against either riders or the Aussies, but if riders dont want to ride for you for what ever reason then they have to go The said night at Lynn where they refused to ride the track i avoided commenting on as i wasnt there but having since spoken to one of the riders who also rode there and he said it was a bit gripy but was fine to ride, well that made my mind up hope that Holder and Batch get fixed up next year and good luck to the new lads at Lynn for rest of the season i cant see any of the new lads refusing to ride a track!!!
  9. as far as im aware RG was on the centre green so wouldnt have made the call to go with a TR on Wilko that is the team managers job, definatly the wrong call but in fairness Wilko should be winning that heat espcially at home totally agree, and no fannying about with parades and intervals.....etc
  10. You are 100%correct...sadly a very British disease of didnt he do well is alway evident these days. My 8 year old son turns up to his football knowing he will get a game, not thinking he must be better to get in the team ..Stevie deserves a lot of credit for his performance, and it was good to seem him settle into the meeting and match them Sadly as long as the Europeans race on speedway tracks and we race on made up circuits inside dog tracks we will never compete We lack the HP..the skill and the style to race big fast open tracks...I'm no expert but I often look at how a rider is on the bike..their position, their style and we are mostly different ...not all I must add..I was watching Richie Worrall on Friday night...now he is perfect riding a speedway bike...but I wonder if riding around pokey little tight tracks in the UK has hindered his progress Lastly...well done to the Poles...they are in a different league now
  11. rather an odd statemnt considering Auty had been on his arse due to laying the bike down and a bike in need of some work....so quite how you can compare the two is supriising A really good meeting,Howarth and Richie very good for the Diamonds, special metion for Richie winning heat 15,a great ride to emerge infront in that race Douglas and Bailey deservered a mention for their performances Scunny seemed alot more comfortable on track last night, and a perfect track it was, really tip top race surface, helped im sure by being flooded thursday night with a thunder storm last but not least,Alfie Bowtell, feck can he trap!! deserved more really last night
  12. Personally I'm pleased... I could watch Howarth around the EWR all day.. Great to watch Richie knows the fastest way around it to so this could be a really good meeting
  13. at least he had the decency to keep his shoes and socks on,good effort Cookie
  14. some fansatic racing yesterday from both teams, heat 13 was somthing else with Howarth and Auty going at it for 4 laps, really top drawstuff Howarth is quite brilliant around the EWR these days im guessing Douglas needed a change of underwear after heat 14 to,i tought we would be collecting him from Scunny highstreet after lap 3 One request i now have, will all visiting riders please gob off on social media prior to visting the EWR,makes for such excitement Auty was immense yesterday, even had the common decency to take his helmet off for a scrap Good to hear Josh Bailey is returning to The Bandits have had a tough start this year but they for sure deserved more for their efforts yesterday Top stuff all round
  15. Yes ithink he did... And got hammered for it lol... Guess they can't win what ever they do
  16. With a bit of pressure from the boss... Still can't believe they didn't give it a go after that track work The attitude of some today was quite evident..
  17. Talking of averages... Is Dandelion going for the highest average posts per year both home and away?
  18. Sad to see JB go, last couple of home meetings I thought he has looked alot more competitive.. Hope a break from racing does him good
  19. Looks like he needs some horse power.. Simple as that.. Clear there is no speed in his bikes for what ever reasons
  20. If I read his average correctly in program on Sunday he's actually upped his average so far this season
  21. A GP winner is just what the GTR engine needed.. And surely proves that it is equal to the GM with a massive reduction in running cost for the rider.. Let's hope more riders get on them now If could possibly make speedway viable again
  22. Good move by Bridger, look at Lewi Kerr last year, got rid and away he went, also i did hear it was costing him more to ride for revolution than he was earning, not sure how true that is but was a remarkable chnage in his form Evicted seems quite a strong word for someone who was probably leaveing lol!
