No Gps On Sky Television Next Year?
garyy replied to The White Knight's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
As long as no one expects meetings to be "going on at the offices of BSI" Those who live in the home town of the alleged headquaters will know why!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. -
I think that Lakeside supporters prefer their own forum to debate their team

Dudley - you lost despite having the advatage of a home leg and a leg on a neutral track, yes you had injuries but were not the opposition without their 1 and 2 Heeps and Blackbird Appeal - PATHETIC Adam Roynon - you really have upset someone up there. I hope you have a speedy recovery and battle back again. Congratulations to the Tiger Boyz on a wonderfull season The ability to accept defeat shows the type of sportsman you are.

Confirmed 2013 Gp Riders!
garyy replied to Hunty's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Whatever riders are nominated, a totally ridiculas system anyway, it is never going to be right to all. Why a British rider each year, no idea but, suggest the competition organisors do what's best for their buisness, at least you would hope so, It would be nice if the number of British sponsers who throw bikes, engines etc etc at overseas rders would perhaps turn homeward and give Brits in general a equal playing field. Perhaps Tatum should have been nominated, he seems to have the answer to all the riders varying problems!!! Having spent many many hours in pits around the country it is a touch naieve to say that Tai is the only user of old englsh terminology. -
Grand Prix Crowds
garyy replied to mickthemuppet's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I have been speaking to my Polish neighbours and avid speedway followers about this. The answers they gave were straight forward and understandable The main was the shortage of money as we all are suffering - my friend did say his relatives at home have been complaining abou rising costs over last few seasons Why are three GP's needed in Poland - yes in better financial times but now? Falling league crowds - young people are now enjoying many of the freedoms we took for granted and are spending money like here on different things X - box's etc again understandable On World Finals under communist block you had little choice - he tells me a meeting ticket was in your pay packet and the cost deducted from the wage. As I say this was the points put out by a England based Pole - Could be right might be wrong but was interesting listening to another side of a sport -

Belle Vue Vs. Mildenhall (nl)
garyy replied to Parsloes 1928 nearly's topic in National League Speedway
Having travelled to Manchester and just got through M6 before they shut it, may I give a neutral view on the meeting! Firstly the track was not ideal after all the rain etc but it was certainly not rubbish. Belle Vue have a very tidy little side for this level with 3 experienced riders who I feel should have moved on from this level if going to "make it". and a very exciting young reserve. Can't see many away points for visitors if this side sticks together. The Tigers. With two of their most eperienced ridera contributing 1+1 between them and a reserve who really should cosider his future, had little hope, the other four rode their hearts out, although gateing practice would not go a miss as its hard to have much pssing when you are a bike and a half behind before the first bend. Despite this there was a few tidy scraps - the referee was clearly on a different planet, but what is new? CROWD ? I thought not bad for a wet Monday night, Poole v Coventry on Tele etc, yes 200 to 250 outside on bends and concorse but a lot more inside. Easily "break fairly even" I would think. This only the second meeting I have seen in this league/level. All I will say to people is give it a go, I think you could well be surprised. Oh and watch this boy Geritty - potential to go a long way. I'll shut up now, lads just keep putting in the effort. -
