Sgp Challenge 2016, New Formula ?
seedef27 replied to Navigator1900's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I would like to see a system where at the end of the qualifiers the riders start the final with the points they have accumulated throughout so the final does not just begin with a rider who effectively wins the meeting (or gets 3rd) but been average all season whilst a rider who may have dominated all season has an engine failure in last heat and then relies on a wildcard -

Has anybody ever seen SS and BFD in the same room at the same time... the truth is out there -

Probably stating obvious here but i could not but notice that Tai did very little to block a postcarded pass by Nicki.... it would almost make you think that he let him through to stop a rival reaching semi's -
Darcy Showing What A Pro He Is Again

There are a couple of things that mystify me regarding Middlos stated view of todays youth - 1. Does he also consider his own children as drug fuelled beer swilling vehicle insurance avoiding louts.. 2. Why hire 2 stars that you must personally consider pondlife? 3. Have i got it all so very wrong Middlo? Is it the complete opposite do you really believe that all teenagers behave like Darcy and just accept it. 4.Does Middlo believe that if he were a teenager today he would do all that Darcy has done? For the record i can honestly say that my teenage son has never lay on a bed in his boxer shorts next to Chris Holder then posted the picture on Facebook nor found himself in a courtroom nor has he impersonated Duncan Norvelle with the Police on a lawbreaking vehicle nor has he had blokes in cars driving round looking for him... Myself & his mother should be ashamed of him eh Middlo? -

Maybe they should bring a rule in forcing clubs with assets to be more compromising to their assets along the lines of ...Your rider so for new season you either use him, loan him or you pay him his X amount each week set at the average he is on. For e.g a 3 point rider gets 3 x X each week he is forced to be stagnant.

Pascal Swart - Available For Nl Team Place

Do not for a second dispute what you are saying but what if you offer the trough to the horse and it does not want to drink for what ever reason. Why should we treat speedway like any other aspect of British life we have always taken non British born sportsmen and taken them under our wing as though they were own, Running Zola,Mark Loram and now we have given a Knighthood to a thoroughly deserving Bradley to join non British tennis playing legend erm Cliff and sometimes we get it wrong with Brits we gave one to an alcoholic rednosed wee scottish bully from Manchester -
Gps are once a fortnight for a few months of the Year so it would be incredibly selfish of me to tell my son there is no more Philleas & Ferb because there are no more Gp's.... and i do not even want to contemplate what i would lose out on when my better half finds out that bloke that can spot a liar Tim Roth has been deleted due to Chris Holder,Darcy,Etc being binned

Indeed that is true but for financial reasons our promotion will look at a fully fit JK to start the season in my opinion, then if changes need to be made in future they have Ritchies reduction to help.
-
It is a grey area i always thought it was a season long injury that gets reduction but not sure
-
I don't think anybody will sign him till operation yewtree is complete
-
I think he is capable of slightly higher with an injury free run maybe closer to 7.5? Rolling averages will slow a riders true average down.We have Richie who will start on a cracking false average.
-
Slightly off thread but in line with Secrecy i know tonights 7 lottery numbers but im not telling cos i dont want to share
-
I agree JK would probably be most likely option now. I think Jonas has good potential and probably would put 2 points on to a 4 point average but i dont think anybody told Jonas that he was a 4 pointer and he came across (only in my opinion) as a rider who thought he was a 9 pointer PLRC champion and wanted pay to match.
-
Your quite entitled to your opinion as much as the next person but i have to ask a genuine question. After 3 weeks and 3 home humpings with a team full of new faced soon to be tiddlywink playing mercenaries how much do you feel your opinion would change? Berwick have had a few of those over the years so i imagine lots of berwick fans will be glad to see old Berwick Badge kissing riders like Ashworth back to bring some continuity so as not to disrupt bonding too much.
-
Before the announcement was made official i thought i had weighed up the little clues to a couple of the riders. i even thought i could give Sherlock Holmes a run for his Guineas it was all so obvious... A couple of returning riders to Berwick = 2 riders coming back to Berwick + Riders who the fans could talk & write home about = .............. So i guess my answer of Charlie Gjedde & William Lawson was close then ... Strength in depth and well balanced team with room for potential. Looks a very good team and will hold its own.As a rival fan i have to of course have at least one dig as to why you wont win the league though.... ....this team will be a crowd pleaser and should finish challenging, only obstacle i can see is experience or of lack of it but that can very often work in favour of teams as well.Young riders will often make moves senior riders have 2nd thoughts about. My guess for above teams finishing position come end of season..4th.
-
Hope he makes a rapid recovery if true, however i am not sure my sentiments will be shared by some of his former colleagues.
-
I hope in 24 hours that Berwick fans have an exciting balanced 1-7 team that is financially viable that can finish 3rd or 4th as opposed to a team that romps the league leaving speedway at Shielfield in 2014 hit and miss again. In my humble opinion 24 hours time is neither here nor there as it is merely (like most teams) a starting block for most promoters, if it works they stick with it or if it works but could be better it can be improvised or finally it is failing miserably it can be reconstructed from top to bottom. The Andersons will not rest on their laurels they appear to me to be one of the better promotions who are not afraid to go with gut instinct whilst at the same time have a happy knack of being able to blend patience with continuity so not to disturb their in place foundations. Thats my piece said so please go back to verbally cyber kicking sh*t out of each and apologies for any interruptions caused

I think it turned out to be a case of mistaken identity mate i think it was later discovered to be Christian and that one of them was not a leg
-
Which one gets the deduction bud?
-
Give free entry to Glasgow & Redcar fans.. any losses on the turnstile will be offset against needing Usain Bolt to fetch more alcohol from the Black & Gold. In all seriousness everything that can be done i am sure will be done by a promotion that do not just see a cashcow product but genuinely love the merchandise they have acquired and long may their improvisation continue

If the answer to speedways problem is appealing to the teens & lack of cash maybe someone could send a message to Simon Cowell with the idea of an new series called X-Factor centregreen announcer
