  1. Indeed , Mr Harkess has a lot to answer when it comes to the handling of this situation.
  2. Should there be a change, then I am sure the new man will be another Matt Ford puppet.
  3. Don't tell Tsunami that. He still believes 30k for a proper safety fence is too much for most speedway promotions to find.
  4. Yes i well remember him standing on the terraces at brandon one evening ,many years ago after a bees v KL meeting ,using a loud hailer to invite anyone that "wanted to see a proper race track " to attend Saddlebow Rd for the next meeting ,which was the return match against the bees. Didn't go down well with the bees fans I can tell you.
  5. I wouldn't expect that your hearing is that good, given where you live.
  6. So will Roynan after his attempts to reconnect the plug lead whilst the engine was still turning over .
  7. You are right, finals like that are a thing of the past . Watching that race again, after all this time did remind me of how much better the old shape circuit at brandon was, when compared to the current one.
  8. A proper speedway meeting at a proper speedway stadium with a tremendous crowd. Perhaps someone should send a link of this race to all at BSPA towers, just to remind them what a mess they have made of our sport.
  9. Have done this train journey many times over the years, and we have been charged extra by the ticket inspector on occasions. On one journey after we had been asked for extra money,we were told by czech passenger on the train who spoke english that it was quite normal to be charged more if you used certain trains, and that it is not a problem .
  10. Try www.booking.com select Pardubice and there is still some availability there.
  11. Yes you can buy tickets on the day outside the stadium. It is however a very messy procedure and you need to allow plenty of time for this. The booths are poorly organised and because tickets are allocated from a stadium plan on a laptop and printed off as required, it does take time to get sorted out . Add to that the fact that the queues are usually quite long and you can see it is a time consuming job. If you do decide to buy tickets from the stadium, (as opposed to e-tickets online), my best advice is for you to get to the stadium early on the Saturday and buy tickets for both days at the same time. Both meetings are extremely well supported, but the the golden helmet is the more popular of the two and the stadium is always very full on the Sunday, and it is a big stadium! Trains from Prague are plentiful and depending on which train you catch, journey times can be anything between 1hr and 1hr 20mins. You can just buy a standard return ticket at the station and select whichever train is available from the electronic display boards. If you get on a fast train the chances are you will be asked for extra money from the ticket inspector when he gets to you. When you reach Pardubice you will need to get from the station to the track.Taxis are in good supply but the prices go up for the weekend. Alternatively you can get very cheap bus tickets from the kiosks on the train station foyer and the bus stop is right across the road from the station main entrance.Don't forget to buy enough tickets for the return journey as they are only valid for one trip. If this is your first trip to Pardubice then you are in for a tremendous weekend. The Golden Helmet is like no other meeting and the Pardubice track is tremendous.
  12. The journey time from Prague can vary depending which type of train you catch, it can take anything from 1 to 1.5 hrs but the service is excellent. There are buses to the stadium area which cost next to nothing . The Pardubice track is very wide and can produce first class racing, although like Prague the stadium has no cover if the weather is poor. The one downside may be accommodation as Pardubice has nothing like the choice of hotels that you would see in Prague. I do think however, that it would be an excellent venue as a meeting at Pardubice should be on every fans "to do list"
  13. Now if the Matt Ford/CVS haters who hurl such foul abuse at them (and have also probably never met them) would show a little restraint the forum would be a happier place. And ,if you and a few others with your own agendas were to show a little restraint also, there would be less friction on here.
  14. And for certain your contributions will not be forgotten by many bees fans either
  15. You really don't have a clue do you? It seems pretty obvious that the next statement will come from the bspa , so the bees will not make any comments yet.
  16. It will be very interesting to read the contents of the statement issued when this matter is finally resolved.
  17. You never miss a trick do you?Talk about putting the knife in and giving it a twist, and don't give us the BS about how sorry you are, because we know you are not. This move by the bees & panthers is all about trying to break open the cartel which is crippling this sport, if it fails british speedway will be minus two more teams because I don't believe that on this occasion there will be any u turns by the clubs.
  18. Looking at the bigger picture as you suggest, don't you think it would be for the good of speedway if the clowns who come up with these decisions got into the "real world" and got the Bees & Panthers back on board PDQ.
