The irony of it all !! We have a guy who posts in defence of someone who is being "slagged off ", and he does that by slagging someone else off.

This must be getting on someone's nerves, as i see "the establishment" has decided to contribute.

Indeed, I have been a dozen or more times and i still struggle with that format! A brilliant weekend just the same.

Hi, Hotels do get full for this weekend in Pardubice so best to book early, Hotel Labe and Zlata Stika are popular. Trains in CZ are first class and you will have no problem getting back to Prague on the Sunday evening. It is a 100k journey but the trains are inexpensive and journey times vary between 1hr and 1hr 20m depending on which type of train you catch.Taxis to the stadium are readily available about 15mins journey but they seem to charge what they please.Anything between 200-350 czk each way is possible. taxis are always outside the stadium after the meeting. There is also a very useful bus service which costs virtually nothing,they even run golden helmet specials for the day. tickets can be obtained in the kiosks at the Pardubice railway station and the buses run from just outside the station entrance. Much cheaper than taxis.Its a great weekend, but try and buy tickets online before you go as it a pain to buy them at the stadium, usually long queues and very slow service. Hope this helps.

Yes the 22 is the tram to catch, just make sure you are heading in the right direction. The tram needs to be going to Bila Hora. There aren't any decent bars around the stadium to my knowledge, much better hanging around the city during the day.

I think they are still trying to master the art of running men's speedway events.

I had a similar problem with a czech site when trying to buy Golden helmet tickets. The problem was that the website didn't recognise UK post codes. Try e-mailing them and they will give you a general post code to enter and then you can get on the site to print your E-Tickets. Hope this helps.

Can I just say that in the winter of discontent I too spent many months fearing for the future of my team, which has been in operation for 60+ seasons. During that period I had to sit and read all sorts of stuff posted on this forum about my club and its owners.and much of it was hard to take. It's a fact of life that topics drift off subject and this just one of many. I will never forgive the people who I feel were responsible for the way my club was treated ,as I felt there was a genuine desire by some to close us down .Mr Harkess was chairman of that bunch, and he did very little to help Coventry. Having said that, I understand your feelings and I will make no further comments on this particular topic

I put it all down to the education system.

Have done this train journey many times over the years,and we have been charged extra by the ticket inspector on occasions.On one journey after we had been asked for extra money,we were told by czech passenger on the train who spoke english that it was quite normal to be charged more if you used certain trains,and that it is not a problem .
