Don't think that would be a very good idea, sorry. It's been done to death on here previously . -

Second Choice Elite League Club?
Dave Jones replied to John Leslie's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
It would be the Aces for me too. It seems that the sleeping giant is beginning to stir, and with the new stadium available next year many will be envious I would imagine. My big worry for them is if they start pushing the" south coast mafia" too close " things might start happening" if you follow my drift. -

Where I live we call them glory hunters.

I agree. The OP has a justifiable cause for complaint in my opinion The club should make their terms and conditions clear & understandable at the stadium entrance, with a particular reference to double headers which are obviously not the same as a normal 15 heat meeting. I understand that questions were asked by Silver Bee & his family but no-one at the turnstiles had the answers, once they had paid to gain entrance it was all a little too late. To be honest Horton & Co have been getting away with dodgy double header meetings for some considerable time now, what with the imposition of the non existent curfew, damage to fences & riders, as well as the genuine rain offs. The bottom line is that if they offer the fans two meetings back to back, then that is what they should get not one and a bit. If the promoters had any decency they would make clear their policy for double header meetings so that everyone understands what their entitlement is in the event of any early curtailment.

Why should I put you on ignore ? You are a promoter of the club I have supported for over half a century. I want to read your posts,I want to know what's happening, and if I feel the need then I will comment on it. I was under the impression that is what a forum was all about. You don't do yourself any favours by trotting out the well used speedway term " if you don't like it, don't read it" response.

Hi HT, My posts on this topic were borne out of a concern for the content in many of Neil Watson's posts recently, not just this topic but others too. The clubs PR is extremely poor in my opinion, and I feel that over the last few weeks some of Neil's replies to posts on the BSF have shown an element of frustration, to put it politely. I don't buy in to this approach that because he posts on here he must be better than the rest, he should be judged on the content in his replies to customers concerns, many of which have shown signs of someone who is losing his patience. He put himself up as spokesman for the bees on this forum, and as such has to take the criticism, along with the praise, it's the nature of the job.

There is a famous old saying...........The customer is always right. even when he is wrong. Given the perilous financial state of british speedway in general I wouldn't imagine they can afford to lose too many more customers. A little bit of tact could go a long way.

Whether or not other promoters respond to their fans it's unacceptable to reply to comments in the way that Neil Watson has .Just the other day he was stating his disappointment because someone addressed him by his surname only, and asked why others didn't show some respect.Well ,perhaps he should do the same. If he is too busy to deal with a paying customers concerns ( as stated earlier on this topic) he would do well to remember if that attitude continues he won't be busy for too long . One of the main problems with speedway in this country is summed up very aptly by our promoters attitude to his customers. IMO.

I see that the Coventry promotion's terrible PR reputation is still thriving .

I heard that the extra cost on Monday is to enable Horton to purchase a job lot of white flags to hand out to bees fans at the turnstiles.

So you can get on this forum then!!! Pity you couldn't find five minutes yesterday afternoon to let us all know what the team line ups were. After all it is just a basic requirement, -

He didn't say which Friday though. If Garrity was kept in hospital they obviously knew that he was unavailable. What was wrong with telling everyone what the situation was? I'm certain it would have been accepted by the fans rather than having the "no news " approach, which upset many. -

I looked on the bees website at 5.30 for the line ups for tonight, and realised they weren't going to bother. So I didn't either. Cost them 2 admissions. Horton's attitude stinks. -

Dave Jones replied to mdmc82's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
The important thing to remember is that our No1 has slipped to second string. Not only that he looks a spent force in every country he rides. I wouldn't expect to see any improvement even allowing for the fact he is no longer a heat leader. Add to that the fact that Robbo openly questioned his desire to continue in the sport due to his many knocks to his head recently. We have been held together by some excellent efforts from the rest of the team , in particular Garrity who has covered for a lot of our shortcomings. When it comes to the play off we will need all seven riders on form as it will be a new competition and league positions will count for very little. The team as it stands now, hasn't got a chance of winning the play off matches, sad to say. -

Perhaps they are more selective now that they are Elite . In the early days they used to get Tigers & Panthers on the terraces. -
