Forums and are for posting opinions. I will post mine if you don't like it then tough

It's not "fanning the flames". A comment from Horton is required, and should have been on the club website early today.
-
In my opinion he has a duty to make some sort of comment , if for no other reason than to show respect to the parties involved in the negotiations.
-
When can expect a comment from the speedway promoter I wonder.
-
I hope they can see their respective backs to scratch in that very dark room.
-
I think mrcts is still living in the1980's. He probably thinks the CO is still in charge at Brandon & imagines it's payback time.
-
What !!!! Hortons financial adviser bankrupt, well I never.
-
Yet despite all of this there are still bees fans who cant/won't see anything wrong with the guy
-
I'm not sure if you heard Heavers radio interview , he clearly stated that they agreed several deals with Horton only for him to renege on each one later on. Doesn't sound like he has been holding anyone to ransom here.
-
Perhaps, given what Jeremy Heaver said tonight it was considered that "the shock tactic" was the only option left. It would appear that more talks are taking place now so you never know it might just bring a solution. Then in the bigger scheme of things a load of new seats would be a small price to pay. Another point is that if a deal is not concluded Hortons biggest concern would not be missing seats, more likely lights , safety fence, track equipment would be uppermost in his mind. However I understand that many fans have preconceived ideas and that's their choice.
-
They were never going to walk away and leave anything that that hadn't been sold with the stadium. If Horton signs an agreement tonight he will get all new seats and bar fittings. Sounds like a deal to me.
-
I think he got the message across despite the interruption .For those who were prepared to listen and digest of course.
-
The bottom line here is , 1 Sandhu's has to be out of the stadium by tomorrow 30th. 2 In order to run his stocks he needs an agreement with Horton. 3 In order for Horton to run the speedway he needs an agreement with Sandhu for the use of fixtures and fittings. 4 Intense negotiation has been taking place and Horton knew the deadlines. 5 No agreement was forthcoming so Sandhu has cleared his property out. 6 No right minded person would deal with the situation any other way. IMO.

Found on a stock car forum , posted yesterday. If accurate it might go some way to indicating why Sandhu is taking his current stance.............. I really do think fans should not question the honesty of Sandhu or Jeremy - over the past twelve months there has been some very hard negotiating in good faith - this good faith has been most disappointingly abused by the major leaseholder of the stadium from the 1st January. Procrastination and prevarication has left Sandhu with no alternative but to safeguard his interests by removing his possessions from the stadium. It is not Philip Green I am referring to but to add insult to injury the leaseholder offered Sandhu £1 for his fixtures, fittings and furniture. Please wait for the statement before making judgemental statements.
-
Yes we know but will they be racing in 2017? It's obvious all is not well between Horton and Sandhu. The sooner a statement is issued the better for the fans of speedway and stocks.
-
I think he wanted to pay that in instalments too.
-
I don't think there is any guarantee of a new stadium at this point in time, so a bit of a risk investing in new fittings etc. I would imagine. I don't think there has been any announcement regarding Buildbase for 2017 so far.
-
Replacing all that stuff would cost an absolute fortune.. It would make no sense given the short life expectancy for the stadium.
-
Don't forget the need for floodlights, starting gate, safety fence, tractors, blade, other track preparation equipment, etc etc. None of which will be there if Sandhu clears his stuff out. Horton must realise all that equipment has a value and without it there will be no speedway.
-
Perhaps he was banking on getting it all for a pound after all.
-
I had heard that rumour. If was in Sandhu's position and someone made me an offer like that I have no doubt that I would struggle to deal with him in a civil manner too.
-
Then again it could be just the opposite, and Horton could be trying to extract an unreasonable fee for the stocks to run. With Sandhu playing hardball given that he owns everything required to run speedway at the stadium.
-
I realise this is all irrelevant now given the latest goings on, but what happened to the team info you were " given in confidence"?
-
No idea to be honest, but if all this speculation regarding fixtures and fittings being removed is accurate, then I doubt we will need to worry about that.
