Poole V Swindon Semi Final 1st Leg 11/9/17
Dave Jones replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Thou doth protest too much.!!! -
Oh the irony Speedibee complaining about supposed "offensive posting". Just have a look around the topics and see the quality of some of his stuff.

http://www.savecoventryspeedway.com/news.php?extend.87 A more reliable/trustworthy source of info I would suggest.

No Aussies In British Speedway 2018
Dave Jones replied to rocketman77's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Just needs british speedway to show the likes of Holder, Batchelor,Schlein, etc the door. Don't select them for any teams = no permits, problem solved. We don't need the disruption they cause, and I,m sure if an example was made the problem wouldn't be so great in future. -
Birmingham Brummies 2017 Hat Trick
Dave Jones replied to ProudtobeaBrummie's topic in National League Speedway
Considering that the stadium owners have allegedly been " done over previously" by Phillips and our " BSF friend Midland Robin" I would imagine they will be very cautious over who they allow to take the reigns at Perry Barr. I am pretty sure that If Tony Mole hadn't stepped in after the last episode the Brummies wouldn't be around now. Horton has a history of leaving clubs in a much poorer state than when he takes them on, so extreme care is required IMO. -
Never heard of him ? He ls a new name to the forum with 4000+posts, turns out he's Gater 1 in another disguise. you know him he's one of your many aliases. Clown!!!!
-
I see the Poole mafia are having their five minutes of fun ..
-
I would agree with all of that. i would be more inclined to think that there might be something in the pipeline (replacement track wise) if the information had come from anyone other than Horton. It's more likely just a softener to get fans to support him elsewhere with a team that will have very little association with the bees. IMO
-
You can be sure that if anything positive happens for the bees his head will appear above the parapet once again................Unfortunately.
-
And most supporters understand that it's just a case of deciding which box of headed notepaper to use when it comes to issuing any decisions that they do decide make public.

Swindon Vs Wolves 31/8/17
Dave Jones replied to Perton Wolf's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I very much doubt short changing the fans comes into the thinking of many promoters . -
A nicely worded and well written statement, that explains the present situation very clearly. It's going to be a" long slog " that will require a great deal of patience.
-
Don't disagree with any of that. You are wasting your time on me Fred, I can't say I've read much you have posted that I can agree with since you have been on your current "mission"

I can't see any reason for an appeal, Holder is out of UK speedway for this season given the transfer window date. Then we have 5 months break for the close season, providing he pays his fine he can be back in action 4 weeks after next season starts. When you break it down it's not much of a ban really, and I doubt 3 grand will inconvenience him either. I suppose his biggest issue will be a work permit for 2018.
-
No idea on the process ,but I would like to think that there is provision for any failed appeal to include the possibility an extension of the original ban.
-
Which brings us nicely on to dirt deflectors and whether they are "fit for purpose"?. But thinking about it I expect Briggo would argue that hasn't made any claims as to where the dirt gets deflected to.
-
He goes on about posters acting like 10 year olds, I have been unfortunate enough to have Shovvy plant himself close to where I have been viewing from on more than one occasion, and I can assure you he is just as immature at speedway as he is on this forum.

Belle Vue V Kings Lynn Stars 11-08-2017
Dave Jones replied to g13webb's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Just goes to show what can happen when a team has riders prepared to give it a go. Whilst there has been some criticism of the quality of the replacements for the two prima donna's , commitment is a leveller. -
Strewth , there's not much meat in there.

Poole Vs Rye House Thurs 10/8/17
Dave Jones replied to LisaColette's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I wasn't particularly referring to the club, I tried to highlight the part of your post that referred to property in broadstone. -
Heaven help us if that should ever happen. Time for a proper stance by the authorities.

I'm starting to get a little concerned about Skidder.. Are we sure he's OK.? Can anyone check with the hardware shops in his location to ask if they've sold any lengths of strong rope recently?
