  1. You've been telling us how it is for years.. I don't take any notice of any of that either.
  2. I think most fans would be happier putting their faith in the Save Coventry Group than Horton. They are a much more trustworthy bunch of people who appear to know what they are about and have the support of some influential people. I don't think it's essential that the team runs next season to be honest.
  3. I think you will find out in due course that the Telegraph report reflects what Horton wants to happen. Wobbler racing at a track some 20 miles away and calling them Coventry is an insult to the bees and the fans.
  4. I see there is a continuing interest by a Birmingham based company to develop the land at Lion Park into an outlet centre. The developer has asked for extra time on his option which has been in place since 2012. If Sandwell Council are happy then a planning application could be made by autumn next year.. As reported in both express &star + Birmingham Mail. http://www.birminghammail.co.uk/whats-on/shopping/new-designer-village-sandwell-shops-13884864
  5. There is only one person responsible for the actions of Mick Horton. You , as someone who claims to be a "mature person" would understand that I would imagine. Anything else you might be alluding to would have no bearing on my previous post.
  6. More evidence of just how poor some of theses promotional teams are.. Having said that it won't be a surprise to many bees fans that it happened , given the quality of the guy running the show.
  7. Yet he is still allowed to remain involved in the sport. These are the types of situations that make fair minded people wonder why they retain an interest in the sport
  8. What concerns me is the fact that the comments on the Cradley website are attributed to Gary Patchett, the promoter that left his last two clubs in serious financial difficulties which required some serious action from others to keep the clubs in business. Hardly the sort of guy any sensible person would trust IMO.
  9. Cradley's view of the situation. http://www.cradleyheathens.co/news.php?extend.1749
  10. If you cared to take the time, and checked out what's been going on with the Save Coventry Speedway Group, you would realise that a massive amount of effort has been. and still is being put in.
  11. Big effort required!!!!! What the hell do you call the work carried out since last March you clown?
  12. The answer to your question is all in post no 111.
  13. Particularly as when he was caught out he was the presiding chairman of the BSPA. Hardly the action of a responsible person in my book.
  14. They could always ask advice from the BSPA fare dodger. I wouldn't be at all surprised if he had successfully avoided his train fare costs on trips prior to his apprehension.
  15. My first ever speedway meeting was at Brandon in 1959 . I'd been to Silverstone with two work mates to a vintage car race meeting and they introduced me to speedway on the way home.I was hooked!! Just to add ..... Watching the video tugged on the heart strings a little.
  16. https://twitter.com/jeffdavies170/status/818111120682655744 I realise this video has been around for a while , but it is an opportune moment to remind us of the history of Brandon Stadium. Don't forget to switch on the sound.

  18. I didn't suggest that they all did. My point was simply that if any Aussies wish to conduct themselves like Holder & Batchelor did , then British Speedway would be no poorer without them.
  19. Not if they conduct themselves in the same manner as Holder & Batchelor. IMO
  20. This could soon become quite an explosive topic.
  21. I saw the "ticket dodger " at Sheffield yesterday and I did wonder if he had paid his fare from "Bonnie Scotland" this time.
  22. I think it's fair to say that your post shows that you have no perception of the real issue here.
  23. If it's Wilf then the brummies could be on " thin ice"
