  1. first of all congrats to steve boxall and lewis kerr, best two best riders on the night. I reckon lewis blackbird deserved third but I felt uncomfortable with what happened with starkey. it was blatant end of. it does happen at every level but this was so obvious it was shocking. would have been worse if blackbird had won the meeting. secondly the booing of Stefan Nielsen was out of order but again don't taint all heathens fans, it was just a couple of morons. all Dudley fans around me were clapping him as he walked past. not a good meeting in my opinion ,very little passing but its always the same at rye house. great set up but surely the track is the most important part of a meeting but how many times do we say that about other tracks as well. and finally to all who missed out on the fish and chips you were the lucky ones!! I think mine came out of the canal next door. horrible. last thing 18 pound with programme was to expensive. rant over but after spending around 40 pound and in my eyes not getting vfm it could be my last visit to the nlrc just has a couple of years ago was my last visit to Cardiff for the same reason and tbh to a few other tracks as well. sad but true
  2. my first visit to kent and I was impressed with nearly everything, unfortunately the one thing that needs sorting is the most important.that being the track.but tbh this can be worked on over time and im sure it will be.facilities are 2nd to none and viewing is excellent and a cracking fan base.a bit naughty cheering when ash came off but this tends to happen at most places these days.there were a couple of passes off ash but with the one he couldn't hold it after he got thru.a few first turn passes but a cracking ride by Kingston in heat 12.heat 14 could have been awarded but a difficult one for the ref.gareth got a flyer in one race which wasn't called back so there you go.we could have got a point with a bit of luck but well done to kent ,a deserved win.
  3. sorry just checked table, i didn't realise that was maybe your last meeting at home
  4. well said mimmo, the bit about experienced riders hits home, we all know speedways dangerous but there seems to be an awful lot of injuries this year. thoughts to everyone at the meeting tonight and ricky obviously
  5. just started 3 weeks off work today and was looking forward to the gp a curry and bottle of wine but this news has knocked me for six.no connection with ricky at all but just shows how close the speedway family is with the previous comments. thoughts and prayers go out to ricky
  6. I could post mine if you like, it would give everyone a good chuckle im a postie btw
  7. got to agree, you watch some of the nl riders and think give him a few years. a few years pass and you realise there not as good as you thought they were going to be. the gulf between nl and pl is massive. look at Charles wright at buxton. looks a very good rider at nl but struggled when moved up. not picking on Charles I remember seeing him at buxton when he was about 15 and thought he may be a good un,not sure when that was but I reckon about 5 years ago at least
  8. hate to agree with the wolves fans but I wasn't happy with this being called the gary Peterson memorial, how could it be with no wolves riders.does anyone know if any profits went to garys family.obviously a delicate subject but I hope this wasn't just a money making exercise.also im not sure of the point of next Tuesday so will keep my money in my pocket or give it to the local pub.i might be in a minority but if we can ride challenge meetings why didn't we go premier league
  9. would like to have joined my brother up there but with only four regular riders and r/r and it being a challenge meeting and after being at work this morning and with 5 hours plus either way and the weather and the gp tonite and it being my 28th wedding anniversary decided to give it a miss
  10. im in my man cave upstairs, was hoping to be drunk by the end of the meeting but am now well on the way before the meeting
  11. just read this post and an interesting point is I went to the raw show last year in Miami the day after Wrestlemania.watching it on tv you would think it was packed out but the seats behind the camera were only about three quarters full.apparently Vince McMahon insists tickets are sold first of all for seats in front of the cameras to give the impression of sold out arenas.good promoting eh
  12. I had other things on today so couldn't attend but after being messed around at so many meetings I won't attend meetings again especially away ones until the weather changes.ive only attended the Freddie lindgren meeting so far.enough said!im just fed up of stuff going wrong and freezing my goolies off while no one seems to do anything about anything.oh we'll roll on the summer so my season can start.ps well done the heathens
  13. i thought johno was excellant, enjoyed wade to.just wondering tho if nige had made the same cock up as wade going on about sayfudinov able to put holder out of the semis.imagine the stick hed have got
  14. got to be pl for me,i enjoyed the results last year but not the racing.i feel 14 pound pl will keep fans going but 10 pound nl might keep some away
  15. anyone know if the roadworks between bilston and monmore wood are still there
  16. id have thought roynon would have got a few extra heathens on the door, maybe ash as well
  17. carnt go myself this year but it was a cracker last year.get along if you can
  18. actually reading damons post i suppose there was passing but because it was by the mildenhall riders i suppose i turned a blind eye to it
  19. first of all ,all the best to byron,as others have said a really awful crash.looks like the news is not as bad as first seemed but still i bet hes in some pain today congrats to mildenhall they were head and shoulders above us and fully deserved the big lead.the crash obviously upset the lads and with no ash it was too much of a handicap this is not sour grapes, honest! but ive been to mildenhall a fair few times now and while the racing is always fast and close there never seems to be a great deal of passing.maybe its me cuz its not nice to watch your team getting stuffed comments mildy fans and not abuse please ps i wish we had your stadium and track locally tho and the fish and chips and curry sauce
  20. it might come down to who the other 14 riders want to win.id say holders got more mates in the pits than nicki
