  1. We did keep Ashley Morris for 4years and he progressed to pl with our help
  2. I applaud scunny and Buxton in there efforts but our objective to there's is on a different level.whose right? I have no idea but I know tomorrows meeting is not worth my money. Therefore I'm off work this week so I'm off up the beacon instead. I salute the fans who support the meeting regardless of opposition and entertainment but to me my money is hard earned so if a couple of pints is more meaningful to me than a processional speedway meeting then that's my choice. I'm not saying I'm right it's just my choice
  3. I used to enjoy the one right outside Dudley wood.it might still be there.enjoyed it because I could get a drink and I was only 15!
  4. This isnt cradleys fault or scunnys fault but the way the nl is run.difficult to find an answer but neither promotions fault.I was looking forward to visiting Scunthorpe but it made no sense financially or competitively.not even sure il be at monmore wood for the return.answer? No idea
  5. Dudley heathens riding at Wolverhampton seems to work!! I reckon we are the exception rather than the rule tho
  6. just been to my local and as no mates could make it I grabbed myself a copy of the mcn to pass away a couple of hours. inside was a piece on the bike show at the nec this coming week.it says Tai Woffinden is there tomorrow. Obviously promoting speedway. why don't we know about this? Is this why speedway isn't taken seriously? Comments anyone
  7. 8 team league and still the fixtures don't get finished. shambles
  8. thought it was ash morris he led, I may be wrong tho. its been a few weeks. like you ,thought he was the mascot but as the meeting went on he got better, looking forward to watching his progress next year
  9. my first visit to kent and I was impressed with nearly everything, unfortunately the one thing that needs sorting is the most important.that being the track.but tbh this can be worked on over time and im sure it will be.facilities are 2nd to none and viewing is excellent and a cracking fan base.a bit naughty cheering when ash came off but this tends to happen at most places these days.there were a couple of passes off ash but with the one he couldn't hold it after he got thru.a few first turn passes but a cracking ride by Kingston in heat 12.heat 14 could have been awarded but a difficult one for the ref.gareth got a flyer in one race which wasn't called back so there you go.we could have got a point with a bit of luck but well done to kent ,a deserved win.
  10. sorry just checked table, i didn't realise that was maybe your last meeting at home
  11. well said mimmo, the bit about experienced riders hits home, we all know speedways dangerous but there seems to be an awful lot of injuries this year. thoughts to everyone at the meeting tonight and ricky obviously
  12. just started 3 weeks off work today and was looking forward to the gp a curry and bottle of wine but this news has knocked me for six.no connection with ricky at all but just shows how close the speedway family is with the previous comments. thoughts and prayers go out to ricky
  13. I could post mine if you like, it would give everyone a good chuckle im a postie btw
  14. got to agree, you watch some of the nl riders and think give him a few years. a few years pass and you realise there not as good as you thought they were going to be. the gulf between nl and pl is massive. look at Charles wright at buxton. looks a very good rider at nl but struggled when moved up. not picking on Charles I remember seeing him at buxton when he was about 15 and thought he may be a good un,not sure when that was but I reckon about 5 years ago at least
  15. would like to have joined my brother up there but with only four regular riders and r/r and it being a challenge meeting and after being at work this morning and with 5 hours plus either way and the weather and the gp tonite and it being my 28th wedding anniversary decided to give it a miss
