  1. Just explained the deal to the wife who said with everything else I do it's taking the Michael ordering this as well especially after changing the broadband to get BT sports. I played the obedient husband and agreed. She's just gone upstairs so I quickly booked it up. She'll never know, il watch it when she goes to work , I don't leave for a couple of hours after her. I also do all our bills etc which she's grateful for so she'll never know. It's only a little lie, il confess one day. It's not as bad as testing a new motorbike a few years ago and buying it on a whim with the holiday money which she still doesn't know about cuz I put it on a credit card which I sneakily paid off. Awaiting abuse from the female forum members. Lol
  2. If it's true it's pathetic but unlikely if he's at Workington tonight. Would've been good to see him against us. At the start of the meeting there was a fair few watching from the stox event next door but even they got bored. Not the best of meetings tbh but 4 points I suppose
  3. Anders Michenek and Malcolm Simmons. Apologies for Simmo
  4. Nearly booked it but put off by it automatically renewing next year unless you cancel in advance which il proberly forget to do and it will £100 plus next year. Seems daft not to have it though at £25
  5. It's a difficult one, when we came back it was fantastic news but after about 4 years when we realised there's little chance of getting our own place my interest started to wane a bit but I'm glad we're still going because I've realised its NL or nothing and I'm really enjoying it again but we were gone for about 14 years. Coventry fans proberly wouldn't enjoy NL en masse but after 14 years shut might have a different view
  6. Hope they don't announce any race winners while your watching the football
  7. Not at all ,happy to travel and watch say Workington v's Edinburgh which means nothing to me but at least I've followed the riders over the years. Enjoy watching any riders that I've an idea about
  8. First visit to Plymouth and really enjoyed it, winning helps but decent meeting with a few decent passes but plenty of close racing. Seemed a good set up all round ,we got welcomed with smiles and pleasantries at the entrance and programme booth, small thing but important I think. Was tempted on the way down to stop off at Somerset instead but glad we carried on. 4 tracks to go to complete the set
  9. I know I'm in the minority and this will sound bonkers but I prefer watching our leagues anyway, the Swedish and Polish teams mean nothing to me and neither do the riders. If they don't ride here I'm not bothered about watching them in league racing. Love the gps but that's individual so don't mind watching that
  10. Bomber to miss out, hope I'm wrong Maybe Scotty as well
  11. I'm off to Plymouth Friday but if the traffics bad and we get delayed we will stop at Somerset instead, doesn't bother us whose missing but if I was a wolves fan I wouldn't bother with half the team missing
  12. I could be totally wrong with this it has been 40 years but I'm sure the first I knew about Kevin Holden was when I bought the star. I'm sure the covers headline said. Holden dead or Holden killed. Maybe wrong on that but remember being stunned when I went to buy it
  13. Agree Sid , absolutely bonkers Bewley should have been in regardless. Speedway bends and breaks rules at a wim so Bewley should have been given a place
  14. I not that bothered what the rules are but why keep changing them for different meetings. Surely league, individuals , gps whatever it is should have the same rules. It's simple stuff really
  15. Schlein being in is bonkers but if he wins and gets the Cardiff wildcard it sinks the bspa lower than I thought possible if it was there decision to let him ride, is it me just being thick I don't get why he's in it anyway. Il Listen to any arguments for letting him ride but I just don't get why he's in it
  16. Proberly because I was a teenager back then and tragedies stay with you but losing Kevin, Gary Petersen and Tommy Jansson has stayed with me the past 40 years
  17. Not a fan of Tai's mouth but no one can argue he's talent on a bike, I reckon he's main problem is he's frustrated that the bspa arnt anywhere near his professionalism . Dropplng out of the Gb squad and missing the British final are big mistakes though. Bit like Hancock they think their bigger than there nations teams. In reality though they are. Not a good excuse to pull out though
  18. Looking forward to watching a premier meeting followed by a nl meeting. I don't do biased so if the premier meeting is better il gladly admit it. Going on my bike because I reckon the parking should be interesting with two lots of fans
  19. Yeh I got a sky package, the BT deal is 34.99 for the broadband which is for fibre which is about a tenner a month cheaper than talktalk. The sport is free for 3 months then 7.50 for 9 months. It's a 12 month contract . There's proberly cheaper deals out there including free on kodi and streams but I'm happy without the messing about. Not got technical paws
  20. Well I've stopped poncing around and gone for it. Swopped my broadband from talktalk to BT . Got a cracking deal and already set the sky box for tonight because I'm out. Watched it last year on tube a few days after but it wasn't the same and I'm no good with streams. No idea if BT customer service are going to be any good but I got an ex speedway fan who knew he's stuff so that swung it. They can't be any worse than talktalk, getting someone who spoke English was a bonus, well cockney anyway. Lol
