I could be totally wrong with this it has been 40 years but I'm sure the first I knew about Kevin Holden was when I bought the star. I'm sure the covers headline said. Holden dead or Holden killed. Maybe wrong on that but remember being stunned when I went to buy it

Proberly because I was a teenager back then and tragedies stay with you but losing Kevin, Gary Petersen and Tommy Jansson has stayed with me the past 40 years

Not a fan of Tai's mouth but no one can argue he's talent on a bike, I reckon he's main problem is he's frustrated that the bspa arnt anywhere near his professionalism . Dropplng out of the Gb squad and missing the British final are big mistakes though. Bit like Hancock they think their bigger than there nations teams. In reality though they are. Not a good excuse to pull out though

Krsko 2017 - Round 1
bruno replied to kraftwerk's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Yeh I got a sky package, the BT deal is 34.99 for the broadband which is for fibre which is about a tenner a month cheaper than talktalk. The sport is free for 3 months then 7.50 for 9 months. It's a 12 month contract . There's proberly cheaper deals out there including free on kodi and streams but I'm happy without the messing about. Not got technical paws -
Krsko 2017 - Round 1
bruno replied to kraftwerk's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Well I've stopped poncing around and gone for it. Swopped my broadband from talktalk to BT . Got a cracking deal and already set the sky box for tonight because I'm out. Watched it last year on tube a few days after but it wasn't the same and I'm no good with streams. No idea if BT customer service are going to be any good but I got an ex speedway fan who knew he's stuff so that swung it. They can't be any worse than talktalk, getting someone who spoke English was a bonus, well cockney anyway. Lol -
No there not, that title goes to Dudley council

I think we all get health and safety to a point but it's gone bonkers, is it really dangerous to stand at the back? -
Thanks for the reply, totally understand your reasons and would be tempted to leave early myself after that. The clubs just don't seem to get it do they or maybe just don't give a sh##e

Haven't Kent got a curfew in place, bit risky delaying the start
-
AJ,serious question why would you leave before the last race. Not a p take, just interested to know why

Somerset V Swindon 21/4/17

If any kids get up upset by that comment I'm not sure how'd they cope with other comments on the forum. Lol -
As a neutral I was at both and enjoyed both meetings but the Somerset meeting and track was far better than the Poole one. The thing is the meeting at Poole was pretty much standard for what I've seen there, not brilliant but not bad whereas the meeting at Somerset was a bit below the usual standard but still some cracking racing. My view only but as said I'm a neutral with no bias either way

Cradley V Mildenhall Tpnl 17/4/17 @ Monmore
bruno replied to Ommer Mon's topic in National League Speedway
At 17 he should be getting the riding / rest balance right. He won't because all youngsters want to do is ride there bike. Hope doing to much doesn't cause tiredness resulting in an injury. Cracking looking rider though. Luckily for me I'm in the lakes so missed last nights defeat -
So why have it then, won't stop me going like TWK but a bonkers rule. It's supposed to be a professional sport not its a knockout
-
The only way it can be the stars fault is if they don't hand over the copies on time,so someone's telling porkies. I know who my monies on
-
It's not the stars fault it doesn't get delivered on time it's the useless Royal Mail. I worked there long enough to know the place is a shambles. Besides ,it being 24 hours late is not the end of the world

At Somerser last night the announcer said if there's any newbies here talk to the person standing next to you to explain the rules. Good luck with that I thought
