  1. Just watched the GP and was expecting a bore fest after some comments on here, not the best ever but by no means a rubbish one. A fair few decent races and incidents. Maybe I'm easily pleased
  2. Hope it's on, weather not brilliant on the island today but clearing up now. If it is on il only have Berwick, Newcastle and Redcar to do. Fingers crossed
  3. Il admit I've had a couple of pints here on the sunny iow but this thread seems to have slipped into another reality
  4. I must have dreamt it but I thought Nathan had left
  5. Thanks for the reply Jayne and the rest of you, it's a difficult one. A couple of seasons ago I thought I'd had enough of NL racing with no sign of us getting a track or going up but I've accepted it's best to have a team to support than no team at all but the league is set up wrong. I've no answers but something needs sorting Just to add in reply to Jayne, after our last meeting I thought I might not return to Buxton purely because the difference in team strengths I was thinking will it be worth it. Thanks to your honest response I will be there every time we ride there, hard work and principles deserves support
  6. Serious question Jayne do you think the NL would be better without us and brum and the like. At our last meeting with you it looked to me like the crowd was about 90/10 in Heathen fans. Prob an exaggeration . Surely you need that money though to balance the books. I wish the likes of us Brum etc were in the CL but it seems these teams can't afford it. Hope you reply
  7. No real thoughts on the rights and wrongs of this but as an outsider having Bomber riding will get me to Peterborough for the first time in a while, no doubt he will entice a few locals back as well
  8. Gutted to be missing this but hopefully il see iow v Plymouth on the Thursday. Everytime I'm away this year I miss some good meetings
  9. Kids off school Steve, it's because it's a double header with the Heathens meeting following. I'm on the IOW so will miss it but hopefully tick off another track on the island
  10. Just explained the deal to the wife who said with everything else I do it's taking the Michael ordering this as well especially after changing the broadband to get BT sports. I played the obedient husband and agreed. She's just gone upstairs so I quickly booked it up. She'll never know, il watch it when she goes to work , I don't leave for a couple of hours after her. I also do all our bills etc which she's grateful for so she'll never know. It's only a little lie, il confess one day. It's not as bad as testing a new motorbike a few years ago and buying it on a whim with the holiday money which she still doesn't know about cuz I put it on a credit card which I sneakily paid off. Awaiting abuse from the female forum members. Lol
  11. If it's true it's pathetic but unlikely if he's at Workington tonight. Would've been good to see him against us. At the start of the meeting there was a fair few watching from the stox event next door but even they got bored. Not the best of meetings tbh but 4 points I suppose
  12. Anders Michenek and Malcolm Simmons. Apologies for Simmo
  13. Nearly booked it but put off by it automatically renewing next year unless you cancel in advance which il proberly forget to do and it will £100 plus next year. Seems daft not to have it though at £25
  14. It's a difficult one, when we came back it was fantastic news but after about 4 years when we realised there's little chance of getting our own place my interest started to wane a bit but I'm glad we're still going because I've realised its NL or nothing and I'm really enjoying it again but we were gone for about 14 years. Coventry fans proberly wouldn't enjoy NL en masse but after 14 years shut might have a different view
  15. Hope they don't announce any race winners while your watching the football
  16. Not at all ,happy to travel and watch say Workington v's Edinburgh which means nothing to me but at least I've followed the riders over the years. Enjoy watching any riders that I've an idea about
  17. First visit to Plymouth and really enjoyed it, winning helps but decent meeting with a few decent passes but plenty of close racing. Seemed a good set up all round ,we got welcomed with smiles and pleasantries at the entrance and programme booth, small thing but important I think. Was tempted on the way down to stop off at Somerset instead but glad we carried on. 4 tracks to go to complete the set
  18. I know I'm in the minority and this will sound bonkers but I prefer watching our leagues anyway, the Swedish and Polish teams mean nothing to me and neither do the riders. If they don't ride here I'm not bothered about watching them in league racing. Love the gps but that's individual so don't mind watching that
  19. I'm off to Plymouth Friday but if the traffics bad and we get delayed we will stop at Somerset instead, doesn't bother us whose missing but if I was a wolves fan I wouldn't bother with half the team missing
