Well I was looking forward to this and the fish and chips but what's the point of travelling to watch 2 riders, we were always going to struggle anyway. I think I've done about a dozen meetings this year. On the verge of giving up

Jason Doyle In This Weeks Speedway Star

That's the trouble "lots of other things" if it was just a couple of issues it could perhaps be mended but there's so much wrong with the sport I can't see it recovering especially from this season. Trouble is we keep saying it can't get any worse then it does. What the hells going to happen next season -
After years without speedway i started going to Monmore in the late 90s and even started going home and away but always supported the opposition of course. Then when Billy Hamill joined the Wolves I started to waver and finally in 2009 at the end of the season I decided in 2010 we were never coming back so I was going to support the Wolves or at least try. Within months we announced we were coming back. What a close call that was I even had Steve Brum trying to tempt me to the dark side. I still wake up now and again in a cold sweat!!!!

Birmingham Brummies 2017 Hat Trick
bruno replied to ProudtobeaBrummie's topic in National League Speedway
If we went PL or CL I reckon it might have a chance but I really don't think the Cradley fans would turn up in great numbers for the NL. I know the saying use it or lose it but after 8 years of NL and going back to PB it may well be the end of us. Sad but true I think -
Ok Rob thanks for that I'd be quite happy just getting the odd highlights here and there I think, thanks for your advice though

Thanks r&r repeats would be fine

Sorry to be thick everyone but does this mean I can now get what I paid premier sports £25 free on the sky platform

Sad but understandable fans walking away, didn't think I was one of them but apart from going to most of our home meetings and a couple away then a few extra here and there the total is proberly about a dozen which I reckon is a third my usual quota. Feel like I've missed the season in a way. Shame but travelling long distances to attend a possible shambles doesn't appeal anymore and it's to expensive to risk it these days

How Many Definately Starters Next Year
bruno replied to bruno's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
I'm guessing obviously but I reckon just over half are definates for next year with the rest having a ? next to them. Most will proberly survive but it can't continue the way it is surely -
Just looking through all the teams most seem to have a cloud of some sort hanging over them for next year. How many DEFINATES do we reckon will be running next year. I think this could be interesting

Rye House V Kings Lynn / Kings Lynn V Rye House
bruno replied to Speedwaycrazy's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
If it's a 7.30 start the best scenario is that they run it as well as the Wolves last night (which they won't) and it still won't be finished till after 11. Bonkers absolute bonkers. Who wants to be there till that time with work next day or even who wants to be there that long whatever -

Well done to the Wolves for getting both meetings done in just over 3 and half hours despite a few falls and call backs. Track grading about every 4 heats. Organised and professional. Never thought id say that about speedway -

Run Cradley first!!!! Yeh that makes sense. A lot of Cradley fans won't go to the Wolves meeting so will turn up at half 7 . Also I'd imagine the NL riders won't be there and ready to race at 6 just in case Wolves riders are delayed. I'm actually wondering if it's worth bothering tonight. Gets you that way this speedway mullarkey -

If there's a delay at the Poole meeting then riders hit traffic on the way to Monmore then the Wolves meeting could become a shambles and that could hit our meeting which is already looking a bit of a shambles anyway. Another dark day for speedway today? Hope not -
I was there and he rolled in his last two slightly

True, they do know how to run a meeting, hope incidents don't go against them though. The sport can ill afford any more cock ups!!!!
